Hillary was Trump's only chance of winning because she's the only one with a comparable unfavorability rating. He would have mopped the floor with her scandals and establishment corruption. Also the emails were originally supposed to be ammo for the general election, but if the indictments hit before the conventions the republicans no longer have that or their planned strategy for Trump against Hillary.

Bernie can paint Trump as the rich guy enemy of the working class. The TPP will come up and Bernie will shut him down on specifics and details. He will bring up the fact that Trump is friends with the Clintons and was likely a plant to get Hillary elected. Trump will be seen as dishonest at best and a boldface liar at worst. Bernie represents integrity and will point out Trump's flip flops. Plus all the fear propaganda has already worked to gain support for Clinton, so all those affected will back Sanders after she's indicted because many of those people were reluctant to support Clinton. Trump supporters don't realize how effective the fear trump propaganda was.
