Brexit + disaster. The leaders of the EU intend to squeeze Britain for all they've got in order to crush anti-EU sentiment in their own countries. They want all the eurosceptics to blatantly call for "exit" from the entire EU, like they did in Britain. This way they can use the case of horrors in Britain to defend both the disastrous common currency and their own position as pro-EU in general. Le Pen in France already fell for it.

>"What if ‘Brexit’ – an outcome dreaded in Paris and European capitals – was a gift in disguise? The thought crystallised in François Hollande’s mind on Saturday, when he sat with Marine Le Pen, the leader of the National Front party, at the Elysée Palace. The French president hosted the full spectrum of French politicians to assess Britain’s Brexit vote. All eyes though were on Ms Le Pen, who had been sporting a victorious smile since the UK result."

>"The far-right leader quickly reiterated her wish to hold an EU referendum herself. “What would be the question?” the president asked her, according to a person who attended the meeting. In or out, she replied. “Out of the EU or the eurozone?” Of the EU, she confirmed – of the eurozone, the Schengen passport free zone, and all the rest. Ms Le Pen’s position has changed – in the 2012 presidential race she focused on scrapping the single currency. Like kindred spirits on the right of Dutch and Danish politics, she has been emboldened by the UK referendum, and become more radical."

They don't need the entire EU, if they can just get the big countries France, Germany and maybe Italy on it.

EU in a nutshell a bureaucratic nightmare with endless redtape and a few bigger Countries with money bailing out money to a bunch of third world shitholes.

Anyone who wan't to remain is fucking retarded and needs to stop watching the news. So much leftist propaganda on the media.

That would be curious to see, if they do take the hard line they just affirm everything that the euro-sceptics have said.

The EU are all talk and no action.

Breixt has fucked their shit up, and they are struggling to stay relevant with all this hot air.

They could have stopped Brexit by negotiating with Cameron but they chose to arrogantly grandstand instead. Problem is, they have nothing backing up their words at all, it turns out.

We need a rerferendum from France during the 2-year Brexit window. That will be enough to kill confidence in the project. The "merchant" bankers will do the rest for us.

Without France its Germoney and Italy, and Italy is a perpetual debtnigger.

Fat chance
Supposing they actually do a referendum, the French masses are completely pro-europe. I literally witnessed the shift, not even 10 years ago most of the left side of the political spectrum was pretty much anti-europe, which resulted in french people saying NO to the european constitution referendum.
Today, it's extremely frowned upon, as it would be seen as having far-right sensibilities. I don't see the NO winning again this time.
And hell, even if, in the astronomical chance that we would actually have a frexit referendum and the french people said OUT, the same shit as Lisboa treaty would happen again: they would pass it a few months later during the summer holidays, in general indifference

This will backfire horribly.

Actually it has reduced red tape greatly.
