One thing I have to say about accommodation in those cities is that it can be incredibly expensive. I live two hours out of Auckland and pay $400/month for rent while you'd nearly be paying that much per week in Auckland.

In NSW, and most other states, local councils have to *beg* the state government to allow them to zone more land for residential development. This has resulted in fucking insane housing prices, all so these leftie greenie cunts can fulfil their vision of everyone living in an apartment, even in regional areas where we don't want it.
