I flew over, passed selection and made rouge, stayed in Castel for two weeks waiting for the rest of my section to show up, did a month at the farm, and asked to go civil after the Marche Kepi Blanc. I had talked to enough legionnaires and caporaux to determine what life would look like for the next 5 years, and I decided it wasn't worth it. In the end, I spent a whopping 2.5 months in the Legion, which is why I said "briefly".
