I remember exactly where i was that morning. I was living in LA so we were 3 hours behind EST and not flying that day. A buddy called me and said:
"Turn on the tv"
I said "what channel?"
He said: "any channel. " and hung up the phone.
I'll never forget that day or what I was doing. The same way my parents could tell you exactly where they were and what they were doing when JFK was shot.
But some kid now who's 16 and in highscool, he was just being born.
The same way I don't care about JFK, I understand how a young person will never care much about 9/11.

The people I know who were there to see it didn't report anything very useful because it was all very confusing and alarming. About all I can say is that there were airplane bits scattered around and the dust in the air was thick enough to turn the typically greenish glow of the city at night into a dusky red like something out of a movie. And it did smell.
