I was in Austria last summer Traveled from Amsterdam to Wolfsburg in a day. Stayed in an area called Weinebene, up in the mountains.
It was the most beautiful place I've been, rivaled only by the Rocky mountains in British Columbia.
Vienna was a shithole in comparison.
