It's not a conspiracy, it's basically the same system we have now except it would consolidate power in a centralized form akin to the EU or US where it would be impossible for the people to hold their leaders responsible or replace them.
Every rivalry that exists now would still exist, and they'd just struggle over regional power instead of national power.

We do need to be more empathetic and understanding to our fellow man, but true morality can't be forced.
Without true agency and understanding it would all be a charade and the human spirit would suffer.

We are not going to make it in time to a post-scarcity economy before we reach resource barriers. As of now the prediction is ~2050 for a large depopulation event to occur due to shortages.
