"converting" a weapon is as easy as buying a rifle grip and swapping it on. An $80 part for an $800 gun. Yeah it's gay but it's that easy to make it compliant, and if the police ever ask about it you can just say you swapped a compliant grip onto it (or just removed the grip entirely)
I'm indifferent to this because this has been coming for a long, LONG, time and the handgun roster is a the bigger problem.
