That reaction really turned me off, and I also could not get concrete evidence nor reasoning from them, so I couldn't believe what they said because all they gave me was emotional feel good unicorns and rainbows shit. When I sought honest academic debate I received hostility. If what you believe in is true, that wouldn't happen, you would be happy to answer questions and foster debate. I also took a Humanities class in my senior year of high school, and that had a polarizing effect; surrounded by normies who believe all of the shit our Jewish hippie teacher says, while I literally just laugh out loud at certain things.
