I came here in 2013 after seeing some nice greentexts on imgur which made me laugh like nothing had before.
After skimming some boards like /mu/ (which I revisited later for specific generals) or /lit/ (which I see enough of in /his/ nowadays), I came to /pol/. There were actually good threads there from time to time.
Like some Norwegian student who wanted to found a fascist party with some guys. People were giving out good advice how to behave, what is needed to form a party, how to gather more voters, etc.

It's actually kind of a community service. If any lurkers have any shred of genuine intellectual curiosity, then watching me shred a retard may help motivate them to formulate their own arguments rather then simply parroting rhetoric.

I was already right-leaning prior to /pol/ but knew nothing about internet culture. Prior to 2014 I just thought it was for free downloads and porn and hated the rest especially social media. On the first of January one of my friends showed me reddit, which i had never heard of, but it featured the double-dick guy. Thought it was funny so I started browsing reddit but became deeply disturbed by the bullshit. I stopped using that awful site pretty quickly, later started to ripping into it to a different mate. He suggested 4chan /b/.
At that time I was also a drug addicted degenerate. By right-leaning i mean i hated shitskins, fags, slants etc. Over the remainder of that year I lost my job and ended up living rough for a few months, committing crime taking drugs and browsing /b/. Eventually I became overcome with depression about my life and moved to /r9k/ for my daily browsing.
It was late 2014 I started browsing /pol/. Immediately the freedom and rhetoric was appealing to me, but directly contrary to lifestyle.
The degeneracy, depression, and general hopelessness was not in the spirit of righteous /pol/. In my personal life I had no relations with family, lost all my normie friends, and surrounded with fellow opiate addicted degenerates.
In early January 2015 I went to a detox hospital and spent two weeks getting clean. I cut ties to the degenerates in my life, and moved back home into my mothers house after being honest with her on the way my life had actually become. It was all pathetic and I continued browsing /r9k/ and /tv/ for months to come, occasionally feasting on the happenings of /pol/. During that time I became a virtual recluse, only going out to collect neetbux and cigarettes, occasionally buy weed or go to doctors as I had to undergo treatment for hep c.
By the time that Donald Trump started running for US president I was lurking /pol/ on a daily basis. Quickly I became wrapped up in the process, all for the keks like any other neet.

I guess I had hit breaking point personally in many respects, but the depression and lifestyle inevitably got boring. No longer engaging in degenerate activities like casual sex and drug use and pretty much never leaving the house was resulting in what might have been the worst state i've ever been in. I JUST didn't know how to change. Finally due to doctors visits I was forced to confront my bad health. Since getting clean i'd ballooned in weight, even during the hep c treatment which patients usually lose weight. I stated to learn to eat healthy and cook. I also started to exercise. Through this time the happenings on /pol/ have included Paris, San Berno, Brussels among many others. The world is turning on leftism and their muslim pets, and now glorious Brexit. The SJWs plaguing society have been dismantled in two short years, and Donald Trump will beat criminal Clinton. For the first time in my life I feel like standing on the precipice of history is not a bad thing. The notion that maybe i was born into the wrong time/era of humanity is gone. /pol/ has given me a front row seat to the world that was never previously possible, that the sheep of new zealand could never provide. Simply for international news aggregation, let alone the completely unrestricted dialogue found no where else in society especially online.
I now find myself extremely informed politically, and leading a righteous wholesome lifestyle. Im 24 years old and have turned my back on degeneracy managing a complete 180 in the process. I now have a house, a car, and am a regular tax payer. I grow and cook my own food and I exercise. When I follow sports its not simply for the purpose of gambling. I've developed other redpilled hobbies from years gone by such as tramping, skiing, rock climbing, fishing, and foraging for edible produce. I have life goals to eventually buy a rural property and live of the land, and other interests burgeoning such as hunting. On top of my good new day job I also do cash jobs for painting and gardening and as such make added money in a decent and legal manner. I've started making new friends and repaired my relations with my parents and brothers. My personal life is in order and my hard work is coming to fruition. While i'm yet to find a suitable gf I am now in a position where my hopes for a prosperous life including children and extending the white race are a realistic possibility.
For the first time in my adult life I feel pride and optimism for the future and ultimately i'm not sure i'd have made it if it weren't for /pol/.
