You don't have to be intelligent or innovative to become a physician.
You just have to work hard and pass tests. It all comes down to how hard you're willing to work, and Indian immigrants typically have nothing to lose and often qualify for boatloads of financial aid due to being from an Africa tier country.

Two reasons. There are over 1.25 billion Indians, so even if the majority of them are halfwits, there are bound to be millions who aren't. If you take just the top 5%, that still amounts to 62.5 million smart Indians, which equals the entire population of the UK. Western countries also tend to pick the top graduates for medicine or STEM, so a lot of the immigrants who come to the west from India are the best they have to offer.
The other reason is the fact that a lot of white women become doctors and squeeze out a lot of men, but women aren't as interested in careers as men and they rarely choose to specialize. When they enter their 30s and start having kids, they cut back and start working part time, because doctors already earn enough to live a comfortable life without having to work full time. They also tend to marry men with similar backgrounds who also have high salaries. This results in a severe lack of naitve (white) doctors and specialists, so they have to import them from other countries.
