Liberals are more likely to have higher IQs than the average conservative because they're willing to question tradition. They still have lower IQs than libertarians (and probably certain kinds of Republicans) because they can't grasp problem solving, market forces, and economics generally.
Dumb conservatives are rigid in their beliefs ( a sign of low IQ), but dumb liberals are prone to simplistic thinking when solving problems (people don't have healthcare? just have the government give it to everyone!).
