everything on it means something, let us begin:
the first red color represents the color of the cross of the England's flag
the white color is located on England, Wales and Northern Ireland flags (practically on every flag in the Kingdom)
the strong red color represents the color of the cross on the Northern Ireland flag
The green color is located on the flag of Wales
and the purple one is the color of the Dragon
you can see the Right hand of Ulster, The Wales Dragon (pictured in other color because there are 2 colors of it - both of them in the flag btw) and of course the coat of arms of England
You can't make better flag than this.
