Dawkins is the mother of all plebs
>>
>>79414057
I have no idea what he means. Enlighten me please
>>
>>79414982
Dawkins is one of the greatest scientists ever idiot
>>

Dawkins sucks nigger dick

Topkek

When people use the term "plebiscite democracy" they usually mean it in a derogatory way. He's making a satirical jab at leave voters imo
>>
>>79414057
>Dawkins
Isnt that the esoteric with the meme virus theory?
>>
>>79414057
Classic.

>Democracy is the ultimate best ever doctrine,

>...unless I lose, then it is mob rule by idiots.
>>
Have the tears still not dried up yet?
>>
>>79415264
Le "All Leave voters are racists/bigots/xenophobes" meme

It's quite popular nowadays.
>>
>>79414057
What's wrong with that quote? Honest question.
>>
>>79415316
>scientist
kek-a-thon
>>
He's right though.
>>
>>79414057
He supports Merkel's Fourth Reich?
>>
>>79415521
Lame. Dawkins is usually pretty on point, he's even going after Islam.
>>
i met dawkins irl, he's gotta be 135 pounds and wouldnt even make eye contact with me. his hand was like my grandmother's hand. keep in mind i came to HIS book signing (i was like 24 and a faggot at the time). he's a complete fag, at least i grew out of it.
>>
>>79415316
How so? Any specific contributions?
>>
>>79414057
That person he quoted is right though.

For every immigrant shithead I have to stand behind in line is another minute of my life wasted. Dont even get me started on traffic (looking at you, Los Angeles).

>>
>>79415846
he's not a scientist, he's a zoology professor and popularist writer. he's accessible to the layman and used to be edgy. dunno why he's still relevant.
>>
>>79414057
>wanting to be "in line" behind people who are only there for dem programs
>>
>>79414057
Is he drunk, what the fuck is he talking about? He's definitely mad I can see that, but I just can't see the point he's trying to make. British people love queuing, is he just pissed off that he's on the losing side and his minions are, quite frankly, embarrassing?
>>
>>79414057
Dawkins was a mistake. Seriously, that whole nu-atheist culture that sprang up largely because of him is cancer and I say that as an atheist.
>>
Look lads, let's give the guy who invented the term "meme" a break

Science has become religion.
How closer have we gotten in the past 100 years to understanding where we came from or why we exist?
Even at the higher levels of nearly any scientific field(especially physics) it essentially becomes philosophy and personal interpretations of abstract concepts.
People like Dawkins, Neil deGrasse Tyson, etc are just the 21st century version of preachers.
>>
>>79414057
yeah yeah yeah. You probably got a summer-house on ibiza and are pissed you wont be able to just fly there on a whim now.

learn to live with it.
>>
>>79415957
True

immigrants cause buses to be full, strain on schools, housing, puts natives further behind on welfare (who some actually deserve). Mass immigration is bad even if its whites coming in, its not organic growth and it takes a toll.
>>
>>79416198
i watched him speak at a book signing close to 10 years ago and i was absolutely appalled at how retarded and sad it was. he literally stood on stage and tried to riff on young earth creationists, but he wasnt funny. one of the cringiest experiences of my life.

Liberalization in general is bad. Its like a cancer that slowly eats your country and our society and instead of going hard chemo or radio therapy we just chow down on some yellow cake.

Did that stroke make him a retarded sjw again? I could swear about a month before he had a stroke he was blowing out islam sympathizers and sjw's daily.

What a shame
>>

literally invented memes
>>
>>79416620
I know he coined the term 'meme', but I met real contributions to biology

he coined the term, there was always memes retard
>>

but we have actual preachers still
>>
>>79414057
Champagne socialist on the bandwagon.
>>
>>79416263

Are you serious? In the past 100 years scientists have discovered that heavy elements are made in supernovae. The DNA molecule has been discovered along with the understanding of how they are inherited, which have given deep insights in to the history of humankind.
>>
>>79417074
this is basically it
rich people who don't see the downside of the EU are upset at the plebs for caring about themselves

they're essentially telling you that you voted wrong and now the rich are very very upset with the plebs
>>
>>79414057

>I voted Remain so i could identify as a European and not a Britcuck

Dawkins with the biased samples and poor logic, what else is new.
>>
>>79417126
So, how much closer are we to discovering where we came from?
Right, we know just as much about that as we did 2500 years ago.
>>
>>79415846

atheism, fedoras, etc
>>
>>79417362
Fuck me m8, i met scientific contributions
Is this what /pol sees as contributions
>>
>>79414057
wow look it is another wealthy celebrity angry that the hoi polloi voted for their own group interests.
>>
>>79414057
Scientists should refrain from engaging in politics unless they also have a clear background in socio-political work

The mainstreamers are mostly hopelessly idealistic and their opinions are colored by wishful thinking. When it comes to political motion they reject the idea that their inserted feelings bias the issue and throw objectivity out.
>>
>>79417126

uh no. sorry, they surmise that there are certain elements within distant bodies mainly through red shift and color analysis. they have not discovered any of that. For every theory on this, there are 10 more that have different interpretations.
>>
>>79417208
What do you mean where? Life appeared on earth a rocky planet with a lot of water in the Sol system. Through evolution life diversified and gave rise to multicellular organisms. One of these lineages evolved in to humans.

I think you confuse it with why we are here, which we of course don't know.
>>
why are all scientists and philosophers opposed to brexit?
>>
>>79417535
Of course there are different theories, but that does not counter the fact that the elements neccesary for life are observed throughout the universe.
>>
People in the public eye like Dawkins will always be trying to appeal to a wide audience, thus the shitty joke. He was a lot better before the fame, not saying everything he said back I the day was good, but what /pol/ doesn't seem to understand is people can have both good and bad things to say. When a person starts gaining more notoriety they will inevitably start pandering to retards in some way because it's an easy way to gain power and power feels good.
>>
>>79417687
Because it doesn't benefit them. They are only self interested.
>>
>>79415846
He did work on evolutionary biology, mostly in genetics

Nothing too groundbreaking though
>>

This. On my kikebook I easily get a hundred likes and cudos from my friends for posting the usual "Drumpf is literally Hitler!" messages on my timeline.

>scientists gets famous for writing a book that explains why an organism literally only cares about its own continuity
>gets pissed when millions of people decide to secure the continued existence of their own
>>
>>79417687
Lots of reasons, all of them containing the word "funding" in the first sentence.

When you discuss politics with scientists, the rational thinkers you're supposed to face immediately give place to mustache sporting, coffee breath half-illiterate unionists.
