I've thought about this before too, capitalism is truly the social misfit's greatest ally. As long as you show up to work or otherwise do your part to generate streams of income so you can pay others for the goods and services you require, everyone generally leaves you alone. In a collectivist culture, you wouldn't have that luxury of detached participation.

Honestly seems like they'd prefer that 100x to whatever they claim to want. It's a pretty brutal system that sometimes leaves people out to dry and kind of discourages work, but most of their professed gripes with the system would be fixed.
