That will change if they ever file that chapter 50 thing. Right now it looks like Britain is going to end up staying in the EU so things are back to normal. The British government is dragging its feet and refusing to go through with it, parliament wants to veto it, and if they don't then it looks like Scotland has a way to veto it and keep the rest of the UK in with them. A lot of people are also regretting their vote to leave and public opinion is turning in favor of remaining even after the non-binding vote.

The FTSE 100 is the cream of the crop. Anything else is garbage. This is like if I were to say "The S&P (S&P500 implied) is up 10%!" and these morons with no money going "AHA, bu the S&P1000 is down 5%!" - no trader gives a *fuck* about that and if you did, you deserve to lose money.
That being said, small/mid-cap have been doing horrible the last year. Small-cap stocks have been in a bear market for the last 2 years
