Fascism as an ideology was killed off prematurely, as such it never got to see old age and it still has a vampiric glow to it of pure evil from its prime which is still used as a boogyman to humanity.
Also genuine racism of the state like Italy or Hitler's racism was pretty flawed, and probably killed off Fascism. The idea of hating someone irrationality is now the ultimate evil since liberalism dissolved in to social fabric.so anything which resembles it is terrifying to society.
