Reporting from inside the Trump campaign today confirms that Trump has narrowed down his VP choice to either Newt Gingrich or Chris Christie. What do you think of these choices, /pol/? Who do you choose?
>>79364892
I honestly want Gingrich
>inb4 he is establishment and Trump assassination
Anyone so long as taconiggers are deported a mehico
>>79364892
please newt
please not manservant
>>79364892
I want Webb. Please Kek, let it happen
>>79365448
The conservatives stopped him from getting webb..They are still divided because they want an establishment VP
If he chooses Gingrich, he's throwing the election and greatly increasing his chances of getting JFK'd if he does somehow win. The guy is a likability disaster.
Krispy Kreme doesn't offer any EC advantage and has muh bridgegate.
Why the hell would he go for either?
>>79365756
he needs an insider with experience.
Gingrich and Cristie are both fine choices. Personally I'd go with Christie seeing as he was the first main-stream politician to endorse Trump. That was a pretty big deal.
>>79365562
Why does he give a fuck what they want? They're already conspiring to change convention rules to unbind all the delegates.. and they got Romney to run 3rd party to sabotage Trump's chances...
Both of those choices are shit. I have been an avid Trump supporter up to this point, but if he selects either of them I can't guarantee I could vote for him.
>>79365155
Crispy will kill Trump to get a lifetime supply of tacos.
It was his plan all along.
>>79364892
If crispie cream were vp would need to worry about the the third in succession, he's going to die from fat.
>>79367622
what if trump sends him to a brand new Trump Gym and turns him into a living example of MAGA?
>>79364892
Chris "governor of 9/11" Chrispie would make the supreme running mate. No substance, all yelling.
>>79366623
Trump-Gingrich sounds like a Dr Seuss villain
Trump-Christie isn't so bad, but he's polling terribly in his own state and muh bridgegate allows Clinton to outflank the ticket on the corruption angle.
There has to be a better choice. I assume whoever it is will have a two-syllable last name for catchiness purposes.
3...2...1...Into Burning Space! Trump Colony Now!

it's going to be jeff sessions.
we saw another thread exact same time

>>79368151
>it's going to be jeff sessions.
muh racism
hated by the GOPe possibly even more than Trump is
>>79368011
how do those jew hats stay on?
Christie will be a horrible choice. He'll be seen as a lapdog and he'll probably die of a heartattack 16 months in.
Gingrich will have Trump assassinated.
What happened to Sessions?
>>79365066
I'd be more worried about Trump assassination with Christie since he's mafioso.
I thought he might try to get lyin' ted but i guess there was too much shit there
>>79368011
Nobody wants to talk to Trump so it has to be one of the guys whose careers are completely dead if he doesn't win.
We all KNOW it will be Ivanka (or Rice for that black wymyn cred)
I can GUARANTEE it will be Christie. Remember this incident?
http://us.blastingnews.com/news/2016/06/donald-trump-has-demoted-chris-christie-down-to-getting-him-fast-food-lunch-report-00965107.html
This is mafia-style hazing. To prove his loyalty, the former foe must humiliate and prostrate himself before the Boss in the public eye.
Manafort might not like it, but I think Trump does. LOYALTY! I don't like it either, but there it is.
>>79368314
>What happened to Sessions?
This.
Newt has a terrible public reputation, it's literally like picking Sarah Palin as his VP.
Hed be better off going with Christy
>>79368011
Trump-Paul is the greatest sounding ticket from a linguistic standpoint.
Go ahead, say it out loud.
>>79368234
Who gives a fuck what the GOPe wants? Sessions would make a great running mate.
>>79368501
The thing is, you don't need much loyalty from a VP. They do nothing but collect a paycheck. I think Christie going to be his Sec of State.
>>79368501
Christie needs to be AG and Trump needs to learn how to share power. Picking Christie will be the first thing that makes me like Trump a little less.
>>79364892

>>79368545
Even older than Trump
muh racism

He's risky as fuck from a strategic point of view, as good as he'd actually be in the position

It's going to a wildcard no one has thought of.
>>79368812

Sessions
FUCK
Rip Jeff sessions
>>79364892
Chris Christie is probably the best choice for vp. he brings tons of expertise
>>79368836
>Dubya when he found out McCain's pick was Sarah Palin:
It was clear, though, that the president, ever the skilled politician, had concerns about the choice of Palin, which he called "interesting." That was the equivalent of calling a fireworks display "satisfactory."
"I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. I'm sure I must have." His eyes twinkled, then he asked, "What is she, the governor of Guam?"
Everyone in the room seemed to look at him in horror, their mouths agape. When Ed told him that conservatives were greeting the choice enthusiastically, he replied, "Look, I'm a team player, I'm on board." He thought about it for a minute. "She's interesting," he said again. "You know, just wait a few days until the bloom is off the rose." Then he made a very smart assessment.
"This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for," he said. "She hasn't spent one day on the national level. Neither has her family. Let's wait and see how she looks five days out." It was a rare dose of reality in a White House that liked to believe every decision was great, every Republican was a genius, and McCain was the hope of the world because, well, because he chose to be a member of our party.
>Dubya was a much smarter politician than people gave him credit for

screenshot this post this news is a flare. divert attention to two VPs while sessions gets vetted on the downlow

I want Gingrich as vice president with Christie as attorney general. Hillary for prison and Make the moon great again!

Nice. I would love to see Randlet as his VP, but probably won't happen. Most of my moderate friends who dislike hillary (but see her as a less evil alternative than Trump) respect Rand.
>>79369663
Trump could probably pay him in food.
>>79367793
>Trump Gym
bruh have you seen Trump, probably never attended a gym in his life
I'm not ecstatic about either VP choice. But between the two I prefer Newt Gingrich.
>Newfags won't remember /b/ filters.
NEWT GINGRICH
Trump Rand is about as likely as Ron Paul being president but libertarians are still as delusional as Bernie bots these days.
Imo Gingrich is the policy driven smart choice but less likeable than Christie. Although Christie is comically fat. They're both proto trumps in the sense that they both btfo the media and political correctness before trump killed it. So I could see them both meshing well in that administration.
I prefer Gingrich but I don't know of any candidate that could actually spark up trumps campaign more than he's done for himself
>>79364892
>Newt Gingrich or Chris Christie
Both shitty choices
He's already lost if these are the losers he's going after
>>79364892
Really fuck with people's heads and publicly ask Sanders
>>79364892
nigger you have no source.
neither is good to be perfectly honest but id rather have gingrich since hes at least semi competent.
>>79370572
A great way to avoid assassination here - no one is gonna kill trump if the next in line is Bernie!
Picking a fat dude is the worst thing he could do for VP. Pick a young, fit white conservative. Pick a black man like Carson or Allen West. Hell, pick a woman if you can find one that is actually competent and articulate. But a fat guy? Nobody wants a porker for a president, not even other porkers
>>79368011
rofl! The way he stands up

>>79364892
>Christie and Gingrich
Honestly, blunder of the Millennium if he goes with either of those. Sessions seems decent enough, I'm going to hold out for the hail mary Webb ticket though. One thing is certain, no matter who he picks its going to be an absolute shitshow for weeks.
moon base 2020
>>79367611
Let's be fair: you'd behead most of your family for a lifetime supply of tacos
Jeff Sessions was ruled out because of his age (69)
Newt is 73
I'm fairly certain this is another 'inside scoop' that's utter hokum
And Chris Christie will be dealing with Bridgegate horseshit for the rest of the year.
yeah it's a bunch of poppycock

I liked Newt's campaign in 2012, and he would be helpful in getting legislation passed, more so than Crispycreme.
Still, I have a hard time getting past pic related
It'll seem like a "surprise" but when you actually go back and look at interviews/articles you'll realize it isn't so surprising
It's gonna be Vince McMahon, nobody will see it coming.
>>79365066
He's a neocon, he's not the VP.
If you don't think Trump is building up for a surprise VP you're all high.

if he choses gingrich do we get to colonize the moon?
>>79372737
There's only one VP choice that will get us to the moon.
It's gonna be Sessions you retards.
Don Jr. confirmed VP
Kinda want Sessions but isn't Sessions already locked in as Sec. of Def or Sec. of State? I can get over Sessions being a hawk, however I think that VP will be someone not many people know about.
Trump Rand 2016
BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY SECRETARY OF STATE RON PAUL
>>79374368
God, that'd be beautiful. That'd be the single biggest "fuck you" to the establishment since the Declaration of Independence.
could it really be rand? last time we heard from him he was supporting trump cautiously, no bad blood besides when trump made fun of his hair; that can easily be brushed off.
>>79371052

Webb is one of the only potentials I've seen mentioned who doesn't bring a fucking big ass closetful of skeletons and scandals to the ticket.

Fuck Rand. He's got half of his dad's politics and none of his conviction or experience.

I'm also afraid Trump will be assassinated if they pick Gingrich.
>>79364892
I don't believe you, im still holding out for a Trump Webb ticket.
>>79368287
There's a clip on the inside.
TOM MOTHERFUCKING SELLECK
>>79374662
It's say it's unlikely, but from a strategic standpoint, it could push Trump into winning in the greatest landslide in American history.
Having Paul, a diehard constitutionalist and civil rights advocate, as VP, would soften the overall image of Trump. The liberals would look at Paul and see his popularity among blacks (for wanting to reform the prison system, re-enfranchisement, etc). The DUDE WEED LMAO crowd would look at Paul and see legal weed. The strong pro-gun crowd, uneased by Trump's prior support for the AWB, would see NFA/Hughes/etc being repealed. The lolbertarians would see it as a shoehorn into mainstream politics.
There are so many wins that Paul offers, that literally no other candidates come close to, that I can't imagine there being a better choice -- but I'm not hopeful in that regard. Although, there was very little bad blood between them during the debates, and they were friends beforehand -- so who knows.

Webb isn't a faggot dodger like Chump
>>79369102
>>Dubya was a much smarter politician than people gave him credit for
The reason people liked to call him stupid was because sometimes he stumbled over his words during speeches. After he left office he went on Opera and admitted to being an alcoholic during his entire presidency. I personally don't think he was that dumb, jut self medicating with alcohol while Cheney called the shots.
>>79375926

>>79375460
Best ticket.
Would vote for/10
Would cause lots of butthurt, outrage, and confusion/10
Would throw Clinton off message/10
>>79375707
Paul is perfect. The GOP establishment hate him almost as much as they hate Trump, but regular people love him.
>>79375707
Paul is really the best choice. I'm far from a libertarian, it's just logical for all of the reasons you've stated.
He's been very muted on Trump as well, negative or positive.
It would be a surprise that would blow the doors off the convention.

VP is Sessions, pendejo.
>>79364892

>>79368234

That's the point, leaf. VP needs to be someone the GOPcuckservatives hate as much or more than Trump. Whoever Romney, Ryan, and Jeb hate most need to be Trump's VP.
>>79364892
Ben Carson.

>>79375176
Agreed.
>>79371166
>Jeff Sessions was ruled out because of his age (69)
Nope. Stop thinking like the establishment. Sessions isn't chosen to be a successor but as an insurance policy on Trump's presidency. If the GOPe/globalists/Jews/BLM kill Trump, Sessions will continue his mission. Someone like Christie or even Carson won't stick to their guns or may not agree with Trump's policies enough to enact things like ending NAFTA or building the wall.
The only concern Trump has is policy and that his VP and he are of one mind. He's not thinking about demographics.

>Deep Webb
I voted Trump in the primaries on principle. If he chooses Gingrich, I'll be disappointed and unenthusiastic about supporting him. If he chooses Christie, no fucking way. I'm out. May Going with the libertarian Johnson on principle. Christie is the governor of NJ, the only state with more fascist anti-gun laws than CA. He whines that he's done what he can, but fuck that. He obviously isn't motivated to do enough, and 2nd Amendment rights aren't a big enough deal to him to expend any political capital.
People would go apeshit if he chose the governor of the state with the worst economy...Well, Christie and his deal-cutting to appease libs has left the shreds of gun rights all over the fucking place. That's expendable shit to him. Fuck no, fuck Christie, if this country is gonna continue to go to shit let the libs own it, not someone who claims to be a conservative but is just a fucking appeasement politician.
Fuck, I should have voted Cruz.
If Trump chose RON Paul for anything, I'd take a leave of absence from work to help with the campaign. That would be fucking beautiful.

Putting Christie on the ticket would push me towards not voting Trump. Honestly. Christie is better situated in a cabinet position. I don't want a neocon next in line when Trump gets JFK'd.
Same with Gingrich, although I could see him being narcissistic enough to betray the elites. It'd be amazing to see him BTFO Hillary's VP in debate and see him in the House again.
Paul and Webb would be top tier and shove Trump's lead over independents even higher, taking some dems with him.
Idk much about Sessions.
>>79379687
You realize that if Trump gets JFK'd it is not only Civil War, Race War, and total Revolt, but also WW3?
There won't be a Presidency anymore after that.
>>79379687
I like the IDEA of Sessions as a VP pick, but I think that it's going to push away basically all of the black vote, and Trump needs them. (Sessions had a racism scandal a while back). Christie and Gingrich are both terribad choices, for all the reasons listed here. Rand Paul also had that little racism fiasco that would hurt Trump, who is trying to do damage control on that front. Webb is squeeky clean, and actually used to be a Republican, but it would push away establishment Republicans who Trump desperately needs to win over. Sleepy Doctor might make a good pick, but a lot of people think that he's pretty dumb (honestly, wtf?) after his pyramid comments.
The only person I can think of that would bring anything to the ticket to help Trump, and would keep his legacy should anything happen to him would be Joni Ernst. She's solid - a vet to lock down the military vote, a woman to help with the female vote (more important than the minority vote), and I don't think the establishment utterly hates her. I think she might be able to turn some of those moderate Democrats as well, like Webb would, but without the party issues that Webb brings along. Although it may seem like pandering, I think it would be Trumps smartest play in the long run.
>>79380753
>he's pretty dumb
And people think Biden is a genius?
lol
That's just shills disinfoing. Maybe even Trump's own people to make the other shills think Carson would never be the choice.
He's the obvious choice, he's the choice they fear the most.
Newt isn't that bad.
Trump's #1 concern is uniting the party and Newt can do it. Christie can't.
>>79364892
Implying trump didn't already promise Christie the VP pick for his endorsement
Either is fine. I'm just glad it's gonna be A FUCKING WHITE MALE.
>>79380905
I didn't say that Sleepy Doc was dumb. I said that many people THINK that he's dumb, because of disinfo. He stumbled early on in the race, and that's something that the Dems can focus on. Trump needs someone with no chinks in their armor, and the only person I can think of that fits that description right now is Ernst.
>>79381009
Gingrich is a globalist who goes to Bohemian Grove. If Trump picks him, he gets assassinated a few months into his presidency and Gingrich enacts business as usual.
>>79364892

>>79367264

>>79381171
Ironic.
I honestly think he should pick Kasich as vp.
Ohio is a crucial swing state and Kasich as vp would put it in the bag.
Kasich would also bridge the gap between the establishment conservatives and Trump.
I'd also like Ted Cruz as a supreme court justice, but I don't think that will happen.
>>79381547
The second he starts pandering to the establishment is the second people start abstaining when they would have voted for him.
Think fucking carefully.
