why do conservative people tend to be less educarted than liberals?
>>
Define "educated." Liberal Arts degrees don't count.
>>
>>79349604
Because modern education is designed to indoctrinate and weaken the minds of those under its grasp.
Conservatives tend to be free-thinkers, going against popular opinion, and seeking to restore traditional moral values.
University campuses are where traditional moral values go to dry up and die under a beaming hot ray of regression and degeneracy.
>>
Because
1) They tend to attain tertiary education in greater numbers
2) Universities are Jewish brainwashing factories

I mean, in the US black women are the most educated group, followed by white women. But then why do women and blacks make less than men and whites?
>>
>>79349604
This is a meme. Historically, its the exact opposite. I've got this exact thing marked in an old college textbook somewhere. If thread is still up when I find it, I'll post it.

>Having a English degree means you're smart
>>
Conservatives are too busy protecting their guns, feeling conspired against by the mainstream elite and "taking their country back". They don't have time to, you know, learn.

With those pressing issues taken care of for them, liberals are free to get an education, and by extension, infinitely smarter.

Hope that answers your question.

uh not really but okay. being traditionalist and going against popular opinion is an extremely new thing.

Atleast in america being conservative was the mainstream until like 10-15 years ago or something. It's hard to say when it flipped but it certainly was the mainstream for the majority of modern american history.

It's the reason why conservatives hate obama so much, they blame him for a cultural shift towards the left that to be honest had little to nothing to do with.
>>
>>79349604
I think people in more grounded majors are more right wing. Engineers, accountants, and business are all right wing. Philosophy, art, and sociology majors lean left.
>>
>>79349604
It's a misunderstanding and entirely based on demographics.

Social conservatives tend to live in more rural areas, therefore less likely to have less education. Fiscal conservatives tend to live in urban areas, and have higher education levels then both social liberals and fiscal liberals. Fiscal liberals tend to have low education because they're typically union members or gib me dats. Social liberals are usually middle class and have a meme tier degree

Because education in the Western world is codeword for Marxist indoctrination.

It wasn't always like this. Until the 60s you had conservatives in academia even in the United States. Then "activists" invited black street gangs into campus to demand the expulsion of conservative professors and the hiring of communist ones, and principals around the country caved in.

Another example was early XXth century Germany. I was reading about the Jewish attempt of installing a communist dictatorship in Germany in 1918, and I was surprised to discover that many anti-communist Freikorps united were organized by conservative students.
>>
>>79349604
Because being exposed to new ideas requires you, eventually, to consider them. The thing that makes conservatives conservative is that they are trying to "conserve" old ideas. That's harder to do when you learn.

Liberal arts fag detected
>>

Because they count liberal arts majors as "educated" which are basically brain washing propaganda courses for the left filled with lies that are sometimes very easy to prove false.

MD's, Engineers, Programmers, STEM fields in general. We lean right pretty hard. I think because, instead of being told what to think, we are taught how to solve problems with logic courses and critical thinking.

all the smart people now from our generation are becoming right wing.

not saying that to pat ourselves on the back, but it's getting to the point that if you actually question the mainstream and question the status quo you will become a conservative. It's the people who passively accept the status quo who are leftists, because we live in a leftist cultural and political era.
>>
Idk one of the most retarded people I knew growing up got into a fairly good school locally.not surprising but he was also some sort of psych or sociology major.

He had no business being on a college campus but his parents paid the way so here we are.
>>
>>79352477
>thinking being this degenerate was acceptable in mainstream culture

I'm not saying it wasn't there or a lot of people weren't degenerate but it wasn't accepted in the mainstream the way it is today.

It seems like instead of disaproving or indifferent towards things like trannies/gays/mental illnesses mainstream society rewards you for it.

And i guess technically economics is a liberal arts degree but its the most conservative one there is so.
>>
Conservatives seek practical education in trades, libshits seek reactionist theory with limited to no practical use.
>>
>>79349604
>why do conservative people tend to be less educated than liberals?

Men tend to be (and vote) more conservatively than women. For every 100 men there are roughly 140 women graduating from college. Men also work more hours and in more dangerous professions.

These factors combined explain why liberals are the more 'educated' while also being labeled lazy degenerates who have never worked in their entire lives

Little liberal babies have been told they're so smart and forward thinking. Leftists have hijacked the idea of higher education. So many people think just because they went to college they're smarter and better than the poor uneducated souls who just can't understand. They graduate and end up back at square one so all they can do is desperately cling to the idea that at least they're "educated". "College education" has become a blanket term. Sorry but your east asian studies degree is a silly piece of paper. Degrees in sciences, business, law, etc should be the only degrees to exist. Everything else is a literal scam.
>>

Here's the thing about science. It's repeatable and verifiable. If you don't believe the results, you can do the tests yourself. Posting memes on a forum or anime image board is not going to change reality. Reality can be verifying by testing it.

Being "educated", at least here in America, basically means you're a huge idiot and you wasted a ton of time, effort, and money. Consider how high the college dropout rate is. I'm somewhat libertarian / conservative, but if I got into a debate with some hipster liberal who dropped out of college, they'd go "I went to college!" and act like they have a huge advantage over me and are clearly far more intelligent. No assholes, you just have a massive student debt and I don't. I kept living with my parents when I was 18, I didn't go to college, and I got a job and saved up $30,000 in my bank account in 1 year, and half my peers who were apparently so much smarter than me ended up dropping out of college, getting on welfare and just living with their parents for the rest of their lives.

On top of this, I've actually developed many skills over the years, not from sitting in a classroom and listening to boring lectures for X years and acquiring a massive debt, but from actually getting hands-on experience. I could beat any of these little liberal college queers in a fist fight. All you losers know how to do is smoke weed and go to the mall with your friends and put $2.50 on your mom's Visa every single day so you can get your double latte with your septum piercing and blue hair.

Conclusion: Being "educated" doesn't mean that you're smart. It means you're a leech with no real world skills and you just do what your told and go along with everything. That's why the dropout rate is so high. More people need to just consider that college isn't for them. All those dropouts would have been better off, if they had just gotten a job straight out of high school. And society needs to stop fucking demonizing people who don't go to college. It's just to get you to waste your time and money, and I can't believe people are stupid enough to fall for this trick.

Pic related, it's your average college student. Do you think she'll ever do anything meaningful with her life?

two major problems with this:

1) The bell-curve for conservatives is much larger than it is for liberals, similar to that of intelligence for men vs women

2) since the 1960s, colleges have been the respite haven for failed policies and ideas, as academia does not need to actually work in the real world to find refuge. There are no economic incentives to being right, and the high-minded idealism of academics usually pushes them away from the more pragmatic policies (usually, but not limited to the middle-right). There is also an incentive to conflate ideology with curriculum, as ideologies develop, so too do the possibilities of expanding academia for more funding.

>tl/dr: it's b/c academia is a cult of white-liberal guilt and b/c conservatives have a larger bell-curve of "education" (a liberal-defined word)
>>
>>79349604
Maybe someone can find the article but I remember it being where the more educated understand more things based on theory and in turn have low common sense, while having on average a higher IQ and leaning to the more liberal side. On the other hand the lessor educated understand things from a more tangible sense (blue collar jobs), lean towards the conservative side and have more common sense.

Higher educated people are taught to be idealistic and work jobs with high pay. They live in gated communities and apartment complexes in rich areas, and don't have to worry about getting mugged or having their home broken into. They live in bubbles and are out of touch with reality, and are thus liberals.

Lower educated people make less money and are force to live with no protection other than their guns. They experience first hand nignogs picking fights and trying to break into their house. They work in service and experience arabs shitting on the bathroom floor, blacks stealing, and women leaving trash all over the place.

Because there are three levels of people:

1. Those too stupid to question. These are inherently "conservative" simply because they never think to challenge the ideas they grew up with. This is the vast majority of the population.
2. Those intelligent enough to question, but too stupid to come up with correct, workable answers. These are "Progressives", blindly pushing "forward" with no idea where their changes will lead.
3. At the highest level, those who can see the path forward and plan accordingly. Men of this category invented every lasting institution we have in place today. Men in this category understand WHY we have those institutions, or at least have the wisdom to understand we need them.

Both 1 and 3 are "conservatives". However, because those in category 1 vastly outnumber those in category 3 the average conservative is less intelligent than the average progressive.

liberals mostly do shit english or hr degrees. Conservatives tend to study areas that are far more likely to get them gainful employment.

I have a degree in engineering with a 3.99 GPA and am conservative.

I love the 3.99 GPA meme. What is that, 2 credits of an A- out of 120 credits?

Easily one of my favourite memes.

This argument falls apart completely once you realize that Japan and South Korea are the 2nd and 3rd smartest countries, but also some of the most conservative.
>>
>>79349604
Anecdotal, but I've never met a well educated man (who is in turn, successful as well) who wasn't "right leaning" or "conservative". They always have a family, a nice career and a good life. Naturally they want to preserve this and not destroy it.

The opposite are people who are (((((educated))))), and they tell themselves they are smart and elite, but in practice all they do is destroy -- spending their time in life broiling in envy and cynicism. They usually don't have families, and they are wash outs. If they do have families, they quickly isolate themselves from their traditional leftist in-groups, because they refuse to become "conservative" but the destructive leftist lifestyle is no longer compatible with their way of life, and their family.

Ah, my apologies familia.

I assumed you were just talking out of your ass.

I feel like if a proper study was done, it would find that people with STEM degrees would be right leaning and most other degree holders would be left.

You are just proving OP's claim, /pol/fag.
>>
>>79349604

They don't.

If you sort by age groups, educated people over 35 tend to be more conservative than leftist. Since leftism tends to be stronger in the youth and people age out of it, it's reasonable to believe that the current trend of leftists being more educated is an illusion caused by the disproportionate number of youth who are currently educated - that is, we have the most credentialed generation of youth in history, but little evidence that leftism is a precursor to or consequence of education rather than youth.

tl;dr you'll grow out of that, hippie child.

And if you want to get really fun, try removing the useless degrees from the bunch and comparing politics. "Useless" is a subjective measure, so let's just say liberal arts. That leaves not just STEM, but nursing, agriculture, architecture, pharmacy, and so forth. That group still skews liberal, but not nearly to the same degree.

tl;dr underwater basketweavers are leftists, color me surprised.
>>
>>79366443

They would have to split public sector/education from private sector STEM.

Those working in the public sector are leftist because muh funding.
>>
>>79349604

Conservatives need less in order to be happy with their lives. They value freedom more than the pursuit of shallow, material values.
>>
My take on this is that more students are liberal, but as they grow older and get jobs/family/their own money, conservative views better support these values. At least this is happening to me. I used to be liberal because I really didn't care about/didn't have job/job security/a cherished family/money. The world hits you and this "I don't need to work hard, but everything I like should be free" illusion wore off real quick.
