I have to admit, males now appear physically weaker than males in the past, strangely particularly white males, physically or mentally. Maybe part of the problem is the social conditioning now in terms of their mentality.
Something else is that there is no desire in a lot of males to be "strong" anymore. What I mean is that back then, you could be 18 and get sent to war, or had to get a job to provide for a family. Even in Europe wars happened often. Well the world is quite cushy now... when men will lift weights to appear bigger and stronger, but do not condition for combat or endurance as in the past.
