>ANGELA Merkel will have to agree to a free trade deal with an independent United Kingdom because 750,000 jobs rely on cross-Channel exports, a senior economics analyst has warned today.

Marc Biese urged German politicians to “think” about the vast economic benefits of close ties with Britain as the cavernous trade deficit between the two countries was laid bare.

He further highlighted the growing split between Berlin and Paris over how to deal with post-Brexit Britain, accusing the “hardline” French government of trying to scupper talks in its own interests - something which would deeply damage the German economy.

Germany exports to the UK are more than double the value of those heading in the other direction, with British customers acting as a lifeline for “crucial” industries including car manufacturing on which its economies relies.

Brexit negotiations: Juncker slapped down by EU leaders and companies

Figures from the German government show last year the country sold 89 billion euros (£73.5bn) worth of products to customers on our shores, whilst British industries exported just 38 billion euros (£314bn) in reply.

>Mr Biese, who is the chief political analyst for the broadsheet Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, said as many as 750,000 jobs could be on the line if Merkel pursues a policy of punishment towards post-Brexit UK.

>In an article for the paper he warned it would be a “huge mistake” for European leaders to take an emotional response and attempt to kick Britain out of the bloc without a free trade deal.

I know this was highlighted alot during Brexit debates and Farage even saying it too, but now the german analysts' even warning against it.

How the fuck did it really show the EU needed the UK than the other way round?

EU is now saying Germans should pay the Brits missing contributions (pisstake!)

Haha, just as I was saying all along before and just after the Brexit referendum. The EU is in no position to economically sanction Britain.

EU countries are broke, have no economic growth and are drowning in debt. They aren't totally retarded though, no sane leader would risk economic recession over spiteful sanctions towards Britain. We'll have free-trade agreements in no time.

Same here.
Unfortunately, working out the terms of our future legal frameworks will take a while, and during that time, both our countries will weaken. And with them, most of Europe, member or not. I don't understand what this is about if we are to depend on each other anyway. You're being played by the French if you ask me.

Germany had even more jobs at stake when the NATO nigger forced economic sanctions against Putin Russia upon. Adidas almost went bancrupt over it. Didnt change a thing politically.

France trying to establish Paris as the 'new financial capital of europe' is the real news. They are trying to steal those ten thousands bankster jobs right from under our nose.

I take that those are the same "experts" who predicted that implementing minimum wage or putting sanctions on Russia would double our unemployment

This. Had the kikes running the place any plans for economic stability, the borders would have been shut before the first boats crossed the mediterrian.

EU will punish brittain while sustaining far more damage itself. Its just the way globalists work.

>750.000 german jobs

That's literally nothing.
We're at a 2.1% unemployment rate, the lowest since 25 years. 750.000 more jobless fuckers are nothing. Maybe they will cut down the refugee fund to support the hard wor... pfffhahaha, I can't say that with a straight face. Merkel dosn't give a fuck about them.

That's why I'm all for TTIP and CETA, but everyone except Juncker seems to be too much of an ass to pull it off. Oh what the West could accomplish together. We could isolate ourselves from migrants completely and our massive economic growth would bury socialism.

They already train assistant cops in 3 months crash courses, who earn half what a real cop earns, get no huge state pensions and all carry firearms. Every fucking unemployed person who can count to 10 can be trained for that position.

Dublin, Frankfurt and Paris are now in a bidding war over that. I wouldnt underestimate Frankfurts potential. It's all a matter of who offers the biggest tax breaks and incentives. Paris has a terror problem because it's not a police state. Germany has proven in the 70s during RAF terror that they know exactly what to do with terrorists.

You LEFT THE EUROPEAN UNION. There is no automatism to grant you access to the EU market. In fact, the way things went down during the Brexit campaign made alot of people here very, very angry.

It wont be a 'punishment', you simply wont get anything from us anymore. Nada. Zip. No more niceties.

Brexit was a serious mistake on UK's that personally, I was hoping they'd make that for years. I bet Obama orchestrated the entire thing because of TTIP. This just reeks of 90 IQ nignog incompetence. African 'geostrategy'.

This wouldnt have happened with a competent leadership in the anglo nations. Another sign of the decay and weakness of the anglo empire.

The post-Brexit trade negotiations are so critical to so many countries economies that they have the potential to cause WW3

I don't think it is a likely scenario but it is entirely possible that shit could turn ugly over the potential financial ruin Brexit could cause to some EU countries

Trade deals are now the number 1 priority. Our media should be covering trade deals and trade negotiations 24/7

70´s were a long time ago, and at the moment there are more immigrants than there are soldiers in your army. Besides, its france that is known for its intelligence network worldwide, even if its just as overwhelmed as the germans.

With zero education or interest in finances, i would say Dublin will snatch it, since its not a destination for mindless migration yet.

QUICK ECON LESSON

neither side "loses" in trade. the UK doesn't take advantage of the EU and the EU doesn't take advantage of the UK

any trade under free circumstances is a BENEFIT for BOTH sides. if it is not, the trade isn't made.

it stands to reason that they'll continue to trade. not because one side is dependent on the other, but because they both are better off
