>Apple was recently granted permission for a patent that would block iPhones from taking pictures or video during a concert.

>The technology being patented is described as a “camera detecting infrared signal.” Concert venues would be able to turn on a specific signal that would interrupt and block iPhone cameras from being able to record any concert footage.

>As a result, iPhone users located in areas with this restricting signal would have no choice but to put their phones away.

>"OY VEY GOY! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO FILM THIS! QUICK DISABLE THE CAMERAS! ITS A NOTTA SHOA!"

When will cops have this on their cars?

You really believe that a SMARTPHONE company cares about the little privacy anyone has anymore?

The whole thing with the shooters is infinitely more likely to be a publicity stunt to at least pretend like people are safe with Apple.

The phone was cracked anyway and nobody's saying how they did it.

They could have very easily just hired whoever from Apple was willing to do it and said nothing.

You are incredibly daft if you believe any company that collects any type of data legitimately cares about how fucking private any of it is.

Why does every person who works in science and the high tech industry has apple products, then??? If you are a professional and actually have technology knowledge (meaning that you have a degree in science/engineering) you always pick Apple. What is there to choose? Windows computers? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Android, so that you can become THE product sold by Jewgle? Why do you think Jewgle develops Android for free? I've had both Windows(more than 10 years of use) and Android(a couple of years, before switching because I could not take the fact that a phone with 4 GB of ram can work like complete shit, anymore), and I know that only what complete shit Windows and Android are. People just don;t realise that Apple has > 30 years experience with computers and operating systems. Faggots thinking that Android will ever catch up are purely delusional.

Do you have a phone with Android on it? Android's only purpose is to record data about people and make them use google search. All those """cool""" features that google push, always seem to tie into their search engine. I wonder why?....

Apple does not have any hidden costs (in terms of privacy or other things). You pay the money upfront and you know what you get. Simple. You buy apple products like any other products that you buy. There is no complex system put in place to extract money from the profile of their customers Google will NEVER make Android a safe OS, because it will damage their business. That's why they only care about the number of phones sold, and not about the amount of money their users spend in the Play Store. They made Android because they needed a platform that they can fully control, where they know google search and other google services are integrated fully.

Ever think there are people out there who don't own smartphones with either OS on them?

You lump all Apple products under one simplicity umbrella, so I'll give you this anecdote. Whenever Apple no longer supports various software (thinks like Java, their own OS, hardware), they refuse to replace any part of the computer. They can't even fucking open one.

I'd rather pay for a cheap part replacement than pay another $1k for something that is deeply entrenched in their planned obsolescence scheme.

You're a fucking retard if you think companies are actually significantly different when it comes to data collection, as you say Apple is somehow better.

Their fucking customer service isn't an indicator of how the company actually operates as a whole, as well. Welcome to the very controlled end-user experience.

I also highly suggest you go buy some Fabletics, as you sound like one of the retarded hipster, stretched-eared, blue-haired, yoga-practicing millennials I market that shit to.

It's not really hard to understand you can copy the system, then brute force a password by backing up on a new copy once the system lock itself for too many attempt.
Plus you're able to performed parallel brute force on different copies.

Brute forcing a whole encryption is almost impossible, but brute forcing a password works if you're able to do what ever you want with the device.

Apple users by and large, as you've proven here, are technology illiterate.

>hurr i used a 10 year old android phone and it ran like shit

Apple makes simple products for simple minded people, like yourself. That's find and all, if you're a toddler learning how to use an iPad or a pothead teenager, but adults want deeper access to their tech, and Apple is incredibly shallow, acts like a nanny over their merchandise and makes really shitty quality items to boot.

It's probably hopeless for you, but buy a samsung s7. Not only is the design flawless, it's a QUALITY phone, and it runs perfectly, without stalling, without getting hot, and without treating you like a blithering cretin that is too stupid to dig into customization.
>>
>>79275876
> That flag.
I know you're shitposting, but every person that actually creates tech, uses apple.

Just one example: the creator or the ARM processor, uses apple products. He must not know anything about technology. Right, straya?

There is no other choice: Windows has no professional features, and sometimes lacks the most basic requirements of an OS. And Linux, while being very good and the only sensible choice for servers, is not very good as a personal computer, because the UI and window management features are not that great.

With MAC you get the best of both worlds: a unix based OS with a professionally designed UI, and window management system geared towards extreme levels of multitasking, especially on macbooks.

>Apple users by and large, as you've proven here, are technology illiterate.

Every person that works in the tech industry, uses Apple products. If you ever went to a tech conference you would see. Engineers, programers, professors. Everyone uses Apple, unless you are some kind of special snowflake. That Android OS and those Samsung phones are designed on mac computers. It's the funniest shit ever, when I see Google engineers giving talks using a macbook.

> Apple makes simple products for simple minded people, like yourself

Wrong. Apple makes advanced systems, that can ALSO be used by simple people. Just because other companies don'g give a shit about user interaction, doesn't mean that Apple should do the same.

> acts like a nanny over their merchandise
Yeah, that's what a company does when it uses research instead of user input. Asking a bunch of technology illiterate people how to build a computer or an OS, is retarded.

> makes really shitty quality items
I'm laughing at you, while typing this from my macbook pro.

> samsung s7
> runs perfectly, without stalling, without getting hot

Android apps run in a JVM. By definition it can't run perfectly. The garbage collector is not predictable, therefor the UI can freeze (even if for very short tome) randomly. The programmers have almost no control over how the app runs.

> treating you like a blithering cretin that is too stupid to dig into customization

Ahhhh, customization. That thing that lazy companies do, when they don't want to invest money into research on how a UI should look. At least I know that I'm paying money for a phone with a UI that was designed by real designers. I suck at designing a UI, and so does the majority of people. Why the fuck would I want to design my own UI? Also, if I paid money for the product, I expect it to be fully functioning out of the box. If I have to customize it, because it sucks, then that is clearly not a good thing.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9-y-6csu5WGm29I7JiwpnA

Just go on that channel, and do a count of how many engineers and computer scientists (some of them, really famous in their field) use apple computers.

The meme that Apple is for stupid people is the most retarded thing ever. Making something complex easy to use without sacrificing functionality, is actually a good thing. Other companies simply don't give a shit. They either don't add complex functionality, or they make the user do 1000 steps to get it to work. Functionality that comes by default with a mac, can only be obtained through deep OS level customization in windows, which also increases the risk for security vulnerability.

In circumstances where there is a strong consensus that you are wrong, that does not mean that you ARE wrong, but it might be a good indicator that spending a few moments re-examining your position could not hurt.

Having done that, if still convinced you are right, you can at least now be right with some more thought behind it. But if you conclude you are wrong, you can stop being in error, which is a step forward.

Sure, but before that happens Apple will have sold a million bucks worth of IR signal equipment to concert promoters and such.

Apple, like any business, exists to make money. They will make a lot of money off of this, unless they drive the sales of their phones down -- and frankly I do not see any chance that anything Apple could do would dissuade the coolistas from continuing to buy their product. Who wants to be like some guy with a tie???
