Go here to see if your polling place is having a sausage sizzle: http://democracysausage.org/

If you are a very lucky boy then there might be a cake sale too.

Have you voted early? Who did you vote for?

If the answer wasn't One Nation in the Senate then you have made a serious error.

Youngsters should watch this video for a bit of background on Pauline Hanson and the One Nation movement in the 90s. Just check out the protestors! This same shit has been happening for 20 years:

The government does impose the debt directly onto the people. This is known as "taxation" or "tariffs".

Unfortunately, since the government is trying to do everything at once (as an example, your healthcare would once have been handled by a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendly_society , which worked surprisingly well for its time) it continually spends more than it takes in, which is a bad thing.

Liberals want almost as many refugees/migrants as Labor, Labor has said it will continue the Liberals anti-boat policies and Malcolm himself keeps raving about the "multicultural society". The Liberals are just as bad on social issues (support for gay marriage in Australia is exceptionally high, so that boat has sailed, the fight is over), but far worse on economic matters. Liberals want to give money to foreign investors. Election of priorities. The Liberals are a cancer.

current data on the FOD system has only three (THREE) premises actually going ahead with the upgrade to FTTP, at a cost of about 10,000 to 15,000 dollars each, for a small business that is a huge investment to make

The only reason the area switch garbage is up there is so the libs have something to point at on the website and say "see? people DO have a choice :^)"

I'm gonna sound like a massive commie faggot for this, but private companies will only ever build in areas that will return the most profits to their shareholders. You can look at the Telstra/Optus HFC rollouts in cherry-picked, affluent inner-city suburbs as a shining example.
When the NBN rollout was started, really the only way to ensure that everyone in Australia received a superior service regardless of where they lived was to roll it out using a government business enterprise, as they don't necessarily need to turn a profit to keep the rollout going (as we've seen).

>Give me one example of a small business that would greatly benefit from FTTP

What? If the National Broadband Network isn't being rolled out Nationally, then what's the point?

>how often do you think an overseas company would hire a small Australian design business to do a project large enough that it would take a significant amount of time to upload?
Generally work you'd want to be sending to clients is in a raw format, which can reach into dozens of gigabytes in size for just a few files. With the current coppers lines, it takes several hours to upload just one gigabyte (I know, I've done it before). A fibre line would smash the time to upload those files into nothing, which would hugely increase productivity and efficiency.

And no foreign company's going to want to hire a small Aussie company to contract work if they can't get their designs in on time, which leads to a loss of jobs. So much for that line, hey Turnbull?

What went wrong Australia? What happened to us? When did we fuck up?

We used to be so real. I went down to the local pub today for the first time in quite awhile today. They've put in this swanky new purple fucking carpet and hipster art all over the joint, and there's some dickhead twanging away on his shitty acoustic guitar and singing about how much of a poofter he is. So i decide i'll order a meal. It arrived, and it was fuckin' tiny, only had a couple chips and fuck all gravy. I look around and everyone is either an iMaFuckwit too busy staring at their mobile device or worrying about whether or not their stupid trendy fuckin outfit goes with their stupid trendy fuckin hairstyle.

Back in my day, there was just hair. It was long, and you let it hang where it damn well pleased. When you ordered a meal it was fucking massive with a shitload of sauce. Everything was real, from tits to chest hair to the band on the jukebox. No fuckin' autotune back then you poofter cunts. Every time you buy something these days, whether it's fuckin' can of Coke or a roll of toilet paper you're meant to feel guilty about getting fat or killing the environment. This country has gone soft.

Back then you could actually talk to people about important shit and have a decent bloody conversation about politics. It was important for the average Australian to have some knowledge about these matters, and most did. These days everyone is too fuckin' self absorbed or sedated to give two shits about anything. Fuck this country, electing one stupid cunt over the other won't change a fuckin' thing, and you all know it.

Well no, and that was never the plan. Under both the libs and the labs' plans, the 7% of the population that lives in bumfuck nowhere would be serviced by fixed wireless or satellite services. So no fibre was ever going to be dragged out to a tin shack in the middle of the Simpson Desert.

This map shows the original rollout plan for the NBN. The fibre transit links you can see have already been built, and were always going to have to be built to service a truly national infrastructure. That's as far as stringing fibre across the country goes.
