I’m finding that in terms of mainstream jobs, there's usually an even distribution between left and right wingers but I don' think that I've ever had a conservative teacher except for those I had in my private primary school.
Example: For my sociology class (it's my blow off-class) I gave a 51 slide presentation basically proving how A) Gay Marriage isn't about equality but more about sabotage
B) Gay People are extremely prone to mental illness
C) Transgender people are mentally ill.
I worked on this thing for over a month backed up everything I said with multiple research papers and tried my best to be objective as possible.
I live In Vancouver (one of the progressive capitals of the world) so I was expecting massive backlash from my classmates, instead I the opposite happened and I actually got a lot of support and interest from my class and even one of the hyper liberals in my class said she "had to think about what they had just learned."
But my teacher was not impressed and this was the attached feedback given to me.

I was a teacher and there were no grading schema assigned. It was an ESL school abroad though.
Basically I had the run of the mill to grade however I pleased. I would adjust students grades and the whole grading scheme if it seemed I had been too harsh on a student who had actually made improvements even though he had missed many small points.
I tried to make it fair but my first priority was to make them happy because they were paying a lot for the course. About twice as much as families in America pay for actual college courses here relative to income.

The teaching profession is semi-professional. I.e., you are at the mercy of the parents, the public, the school administration.

The teacher seemed to love all the ridiculous womanizers among them, I can't recall a single black or non-European ethnic artist we went over (unless you don't count Italians as white) and made relatively few liberal/progressive statements.
The student body, almost all senior year art majors on the other hand were a bunch of lazy, pretentious, hipster faggots.
I scored about perfect on everything.
Some of them actually failed tests because they just didn't bother to remember the artists or what they did.
Seemed most of them didn't appreciate the history at all and were just looking to fill easy credit, and still did a poor job of it.
