If you think about it, yeah they are given quite a bit and more than any other professiin. A doctor can earn upwards to more than a million a year and this only occurs in the United states. Funny, huh?

And what are your thoughts on the girl in the picture because that isn't a photo, that is actually a painting Ha!
>>
Did you think that up all by yourself?

Wow... Really made me think... /pol/ btfo... Well /pol/?

Wow, what an asshole. I'm just making an observation on your degenerating state.

Doctors are generally intelligent.

Doctors require among the most education of any field.

Doctors work hard for long hours.

Doctors are known for being philanthropists.

Doctors are known for being brave and running into warzones to heal people.

GPs are shit in the UK.

Also, really impressive painting like dam son.

some doctors on hgih positions have a say on which epidemics should society suffer every year, when pharma tells them a profitable vaccine is ready for the market

to keep them mouth shut,, they have high paid positions on important research/state hospital boards
>>
>>79124064
"Degenerating state" did you make that up too?

Stop listening to retards telling you Obamacare can't work because Canadas healthcare system doesn't work. Canadas healthcare system is retarded and works nothing like Obamacare and comparing it to Obamacare is dumb. Compare Obamacare to how a country with a functional healthcare system like France works.
>>
The Worst thing about Doctors is that they know jack shit. Did you know various drugs are only "experienced based" on their effect? Fuck, they don't even know the full effects of fucking Aspirin.
>>
>>79122310

FACT - 99% of practicing MD's could easily be replaced with a flow chart
>>

>Doctors are generally intelligent.
Specialists seem to have a lot of knowledge.
General practitioners seem to have a worrying lack of knowledge, especially about pharmaceuticals.
It's very easy to talk your way into getting any chemical you want because they follow such a formulaic approach to prescribing medications.
>>

>Compare Obamacare to how a country with a functional healthcare system like France works.
Massive deficit. Doesn't work.

Also every time I go to the hospital for an emergency (professional inline skater so happens quite often) I have to wait for ages because poles and pakis come there every time they have a cough since it's basically free for them with CMU.
>>
>>79124574
Speaking as something that takes a lot of prescriptions, the expert on the latest and greatest prescriptions is your pharmacist, not your doctor. If you don't ask them, do research online. GPs will usually be out of date in regards to the latest and greatest medications.
>>
>>79124730
Oh, trust me I know. I've been taking dozens of chemicals since I was 15 and got into pain management.
It seems like the pharmacist is there to fact check everything and make sure that there's no interactions. For someone who actually decides what you're going to take, the doctor, it seems like they don't know much about the chemicals at all.
I'm only referring to general practitioners in this, though. Pain management doctors, university doctors, ER and hospital doctors all seem much more knowledgeable on the subject.

Nice try Rajeesh, some rupees have been deposited in your account and a map to your designated street has been sent to your email.

Is denial the in thing at the moment in the states?
>>
>>79124665
Look you have to understand how full retard the Canadian "Privatization is evil" system where the public-only system has led to months of wait times that are far far worse than France objectively. Despite all the shit the right wing in the US say though, our quality of care is among the best in the world though.

And both the US "Fuck the poor, give all our money to insurance middlemen" bush era system and the "Make the poor give all their money to insurance middlemen, but take care of their health" obamacare system are also both retarded. US healthcare is among the least cost efficient in the world which is amazing considering it's a private only system, but they literally have THE best hospitals in the world.

I'm going off what the WHO says about world healthcare systems, who points out you don't spend that much on healthcare and french people are unusually healthy. This might have a lot to do with stuff like diet, but looking objectively, it seems that even if you guys are having deficit problems you should probably cut back entitlements and don't change anything structurally because your system is not working worse than anybody elses.
>>
>>79124665
Also the metrics I'm using for healthcare would call your healthcare system less effective if you let the poles and pakis die on the street so the french could get better care, as more people overall would die.

So I think we might, just have differant idea of what a good healthcare system looks like.

If you mean I'm making things about the salary of doctors, you re wrong. An orthopedic surgeon can earn more thn million in a year.

>ER docs knowledgible about anything

Those bozos are terrified of treating simple hypertension unless it's symptomatic.

> be me accepting sign out from ED physican for new admit
> Me: ok, so this lady has a UTI, she's a bit altered, but her systolic BPs been in the 180s for hours -- has she been agitated? have you guys pushed anything? did you restart her home meds?
> ED: we don't treat asymptomatic hypertension.
> Me: dude, she's been in the 180s, that's HTN urgency...
> ED physician: ...<hangs up phone>

I'm an internist, and during my ER rotations during training, those guys would just pan scan and pan consult and go to the next guy. Those guys know next to nothing about management.

Then again us internists would be lost w/o our protocols...

In reality, you need to know who to go to for whatever problem you got, medicine is just so huge now that nobody can really know everything. Hell, you can't even be a proper jack of all trades anymore. So if you have a bone joint problem, go to Orthopedics/Rheum, if you have a GI problem, go to GI -- once you're a specialist, the box you have to know gets a lot more manageable, you can look like a king...until you get outside that box, and then you look like a dope.
>>
A lot of doctors salary is also to pay for student loans and malpractice insurance.

They make some ridiculous bank still though.
>>
>>79124102
They also get a very large percentage of their income taken away from them by the state to feed worthless niggers.
>>
>>79125580
>>79125807
I know what you mean. I also believe you actually can't have a fiscally balanced healthcare system, the point being to allow people who don't have the money to get cured to have access to treatment, those being far more numerous than the ones who could afford such care without any help from the state. I'm more concerned about how people go to the hospital when going to the GP would be just as effective, just because they don't have access to a better healthcare package (iirc around 20% of physicians refused to provide treatment to those who had CMU).
>>
>>79126913
I feel doctors and hospitals will always perpetually try and push the budget of countries to the brink by providing expensive as shit care to people that can't afford it, but will also try to stop the country from completely collapsing by hiring tightwad hospital administrators. They try to drain as much money from the public purse as they possibly can perpetually though for their special interest.
>>
>>79126913
Also old people fucking LOVE voting AND healthcare so medicine has a lot of political influence.
>>
>>79127254
Not sure if it's any indication of how shitty Canadian healthcare is, but a friend of mine moved from France to do her PhD in your country and she plans on subscribing to French healthcare again instead of Canadian, despite only being in the country ~2 months per year.
>>
>noone ever mentions how much doctors sacrifice to do what they do
>noone ever mentions the tuition, shelf exams, board exams, matching, residency etc.
>everyone thinks you just decide to become an MD one day and end up a millionaire in a few years

Prepping for the USMLE really makes you think about your career choice. Also makes you want to off yourself sometimes too.

>>79122310
Doctors have more liability than any other profession
>>
Turns out people that prevent you from dying are a valuable commodity, huh...

brb gonna sit in the emergency waiting room for a few days

I wish any of this was true in the UK. I went to A&E with a head injury and was given paracetamol by Dr Rajeet Khan while the trainee (white) nurse ignored his instructions and bandaged my head.
>>
>>79124574
>they follow such a formulaic approach to prescribing medications.

Are you implying this is a bad thing?

It should be formulaic. That means a system and procedure is in place, and not just chaotic subjective opinions.

t. guy whose dad is a specialized doctor
>>
>>79122310
They're highly educated and help heal people. It's pretty easy to see why that would be respected.

Perhaps we're wrong to put them on such a high pedestal, but this is the same society where pwetie pie is allowed to make videos so what can you do?
>>
>>79122310
Left eye looks terrible.
>>
>this only occurs in the United states.
Yeah that part is funny. I wonder how many people will fall for the joke. Probably not the Swiss.
>>
>>79122310

1. Because people are bluepilled as fuck

2. Because people submit to authority regularly

I'm a doctor (of E&EE) and had to school my GP last week on why my BP was abnormally high and why it would be fine after he used a larger cuff (I'm a weightlifter and far outside the range of normal bp cuff, dumb cunt wanted to rush me to hospital for hypertensive crisis when there was nothing wrong at all)

Medicals doctors really are dumb as fuck in my experience.
