I've not been there, so that's hard to judge accurately, but based on the Spaniards I've met here they're pretty averagely continental European. Maybe a little bit more prideful in the same way you'd find in Latin America, but there's nothing wrong with that, but also the same tendency to be polite.
One definitely gets the sense of a more Mediteranian speed of life, though. Definitely not at the top of the workaholic list.
