To some extent Yes!

Liberals and Lefties are far more intelligent than us (they keep repeating that) and think they own the moral high-ground.

If we don't agree with them, we are uneducated, bigots.

im bored so ill answer each line to the best of my abilities

>the pound loses 10 years of EU grants worth of value in one night and chris is still adamant staying was a clueless idea xD

the pound, like so many other valutas, loses value left and right. that the pound loses what is significant in the short term on a very long term investmen is hardly surprising nor catastrophic.

>Brexit was a terrible move. And it just shows how dumb the common British voter is.

not an argument. british voter includes the person saying this.

>£850 million is not short term man xD

it is. tell them to get their heads out of their asses. look up what some well known firms (microsoft, google, etc) makes a year.

>There's no indication that the British market was hindered by its involvement in the EU.

do not know enough about the UKs economy to cite examples, but what being part of the EU does in relation to the positive side of economy is solely helping trade deals with other members, which should be able to be bypassed as member states are not prohibited in trading with non-member states.

>The plethora of EEA benefits enjoyed by member states secures us many things we take for granted.

ask them to mention several, and refute them.

>Duty free on holiday. Tax exemptions on many day to day imports. Cheap flights.

cheap flights are irellevant to the common man. used only for holiday purposes.

>Let's see. The campaigns led by leave were primarily based on fear mongering, misinformation and general appeal towards more Conservative views.

not unlike the stay movement, what with the lies about that one killing and the horror stories about the economy which has been refuted by economists not employed by the EU or pro-stay parties.

>the only part of that that changes now is your immigration policy chris

it is unlikely that things wont change in the future, but even if they do not, immigration is the single greatest problem in the modern age, currently.

>which proves once and for all that the brexit argument was ENTIRELY based on "brown ppl on mah street"

and not the fact that the EU, where the members are elected for life, by methods which are questionable, are able to impose arbitrary laws upon you, and if you do not bow, will pull benefits? not that it proves anything, or is an argument.

>The ratio of EU decisions in favor of Britain and against Britain is 3554:52

i wonder how they used their objective point scala to find those numbers. even so, quality sometimes surpasses quantity.

>The sheer disparity is an indication of Britain's weight in EU decision making.

it would be about the same if a small nation (such as Denmark) left. its a big fuss because its the first nation to leave, not because its one of the most influential one (even though thats true, being the MOST influential does not always mean being influential in general.) also, not an argument. people gets fussed up over stupid things. a lot of bad rep is not proof of a bad action.

>"nu guise iz about freedom, democracy, having our own say...............oh and getting rid of those filthy polacks and shit"

not an argument. if you want to find out more about the actual arguments for leaving, just google it or look in the thread.

>never mind that your economy DEPENDS on the free movement of labor the EU guarantees

it really doesnt. it is influential, sure, but it does not depend on it, and its a worthy sacrifice. that aside, no one is saying that brexit means being isolated. again, this arbitrary, emotional associating response is typical of idiots.

>he absolutely did claim that the 350 million saved could be pumped into the NHS

not an argument. also one does not vote brexit because farage says to

Something like TTIP would never get through Parliament. This is partly why it was so important to Brexit, the people negotiating in the EU are completely unaccountable to the people. Comrade Corbyn would sooner die than see that pass the Commons. The public outrage would also be too much for anyone to support it politically.

We'll hopefully be able to get a FTA that doesn't fuck us all in the ass for corporate greed as an alternative.

not an argument. assuming it is true, its 1) an argument against farage, not brexit, and 2) not unreasonable for a politician to backtrack.

>do you understand quite how bad it is ffor a currency to drop TEN percentage points OVERNIGHT chris?

of course its bad, and it is to be expected of an action so special. it, however, has happened many times before, and always works out due to the nature of the economy. that aside, 10% is very bad, but not catastrophic. i thougt i read somewhere that it already bounced 2% back.

If Stephen Hawking says Hitler was a good guy... He's probaly right. steven hawkings knowledge of politics and economy is questionable: being a reputed genius does not make you the master of all. even if it did, its a horrible argument, as it implies that any and everything hawking says is right. even they should see that.

>it's not generalizing, the vote was overwhelmingly skewed in favor of the elderly and those people are fucking racist

not an argument. calling 67% of elderly people racist is not only untrue, it is unproven, unrelated (unless they voted out BECAUSE of racism), and a prime example of labelling anyone who does not agree with you racist. alternatively, tell them to look at the elderly people they know.

We've been wanting to devalue the GBP for fucking ages to increase our competitive advantage over a strong Euro. We've done that now.

That's not an argument.

£850m? No idea, but that's barely any money at all.

Considering many countries have already come out saying they want a quick trade deal with us, which we didn't have while in the EU, yes it was.

Nah

We pay tax on flights... And holidays will increase by about 10%. Why people think it's necessary or a 'right' to be able to fly to Italy for a tenner is beyond me.

That's absolute nonsense, the remain campaign was the fear-mongering side. They literally brought out everybody on the planet to threaten us and scare us into staying in. WW3.

Nobody said it would all go to the NHS, they said it would be available for things like the NHS.

Are Nige has reshaped the world and given hundreds of millions of European hope for their future. Hope that they, too, can free themselves from anti-democratic, tyrannical rule.

No

Nothing to do with brown people since the EU migrants are largely white. That's just a stupid argument to make. Proportionally, we're likely to bring in more brown people after Brexit than before. Just that we won't be taking 1,000,000 every 3 years, it should be a tenth of that. Supply and demand.

They're not decisions in favour of Britain, and the numbers are just wrong. They're cherry picking certain things and anybody can do that. We have been outvoted more than any other EU country.

We have no weight, we're actually near the bottom of the list in terms of MEPs / population. Malta being at the top (I think)

It's about freedom, democracy and sovereignty. And about being a normal, fair country. The remain side are the ones who continually bring up nationality and race.

It literally doesn't depend on free movement. If we need migrants, we can still have them under a fair system. Are your friends really so stupid that they think Brexit means no migrants ever?

Prove it.

There has been a £350m saving. It's really fucking trivial to look up the amount we give to the EU in a year and divide that by 52. That's gross, net is a bit less because of the rebate, but at least now WE decide where to spend that. Like any normal country can.

Farage has been one of the most important politicians in British history and has won a referendum despite having basically the entire world against him. He speaks for the working classes, he speaks for the patriots and he speaks for the people who wish to look forward rather than inward.

Currency dropping in a volatile market is nothing. Grow up.

Immigration, democracy, anti-fascism, globalism, international trade vs continental trade, national pride, common sense, not being a faggot.

Stephen Hawking is good at theoretical physics, not international politics. I care as little about his opinion as I do about David Beckham's.

The old people are the ones who originally voted to JOIN the common market. They have seen it turn into a disgusting and dangerous expansionist political union and they're doing the best thing they can for their children and grand children.

Do these twats really think old people are voting to be cunts to them? They want the country to be as good as it can be for the future of their family.

Also it wasn't really skewed in favour. More old people voted to remain than young. If they wanted to remain so much they should have got out of bed and put a cross in a box.

I think so. One of the defining aspects of Tony Blair's government was engagement with and manipulation of the media by Alastair Campbell, and that's precisely what we're seeing with Blairites resigning en mass and the media bizarrely focusing Labour in the immediate aftermath of a referendum to leave the EU. It's dubious as fuck. They're definitely scheming for something, and given their policy, it's probably to hijack the Labour party and turn it into the pro-EU party that'd fight to overturn the result of the referendum. Lend all your meme magic to Comrade Corbyn because on this day a communist fights for our democracy.

>Can someone, preferably a labour voter, explain what the fuck is going on in that party?

for a long time, the membership and the upper echelons of the party have drifted away from each other, but the leadership is decided by popularish vote

in the last leadership contest the parliamentary party put forwards only right-leaning candidates leaving only one very left leaning MP who was out of favor to run against them, and the membership took offense at this, overwhelmingly voting in his favor

however, the electorate at large in the UK is centre-right leaning, making it extremely difficult to win a general election with such a leftist candidate for Prime Minister. Just as (if not more) importantly, most MPs hate being under the command of someone who holds such different views to them

they have now enacted a coup in which the majority of Labour MPs are now on strike, refusing to work for Corbyn. He still, however, has the backing of most of the membership; this means he can still win a leadership contest against any candidate the erst of the party puts forwards.

Obviously it is impossible to run an opposition to the government without MPs to serve in his front bench. Practically speaking, this means he will be forced to introduce measure allowing Labour MPs to be replaced on the ballot and replaced with loyalists; such measures have been used before to ideologically purge the party and are considered taboo; it may well be voted down by the members and trade unions.

Regardless, even if Labour MPs are 'deselected' they will retain their posts as MPs (having been elected to that office by popular vote in 2015). This means they can refuse to stand down and continue to serve in parliament until the next general election. Obviously, a Conservative government in such a scenario would gain nothing from calling a general election.

Realistically speaking, Corbyn will make a big stand for the next few weeks, maybe win a leadership contest, and then stand down.

I pretty much just try to work with statistics and numbers and history as nobody can truly argue against them as they're either right or wrong (just make sure you're always right because being wrong about 1 number apparently means you're wrong about everything you've ever said in your life...). If you can show somebody a graph of the GBPEUR over the past 5 years they cannot possible argue that this past week has been anything incredibly bad, scary or unusual. But if you say 'this drop isn't too bad' they're just going to go off the rails with ridiculous comebacks.

Link if interested.

He's correct. Socially conservative values will always end up subordinate to and undermined by Thatcherite neoliberal economic policy. It also stops UKIP from making as much headway in the North as some are imagining.

So I asked a British woman what she thinks of Brexit. "In" was her answer. I was so surprised it actually happened.

I asked her why she wanted in... "I like diverse communities and people". That was her answer. I told her "Yeah, you can still be diverse without the EU"... she had no reply.

What the fuck?

it's split between three factions, Farage even mentioned this today. there's the hard left Corbynite socialists who have the leadership and a fervent ideological following but no parliamentary support and not much public support, there's the parliamentary Blairite cuck centrism wing who want to go back to 1997 and think if they just vaguely support Social Democracy enough they will magically win a majority, and there is the actual voting majority who are all confused working class plebs who don't really like any of them and also fucking hate immigration so much they're starting to peel off to UKIP.

Corbyn won't stand down, so hopefully the Blairites defect and create their own new party but they probably won't because they're too nostalgic and think "we can't win a majority without the big Labour brand" but they havn't realised that they can't win a fucking majority anyway.

>I had a feeling what they were saying weren't actual arguments though

It isn't that hard to distinguish between an argument and a non-argument mate. If someone makes a claim but they don't back it up with evidence it is not an argument and has absolutely no value until they can demonstrate it to be valid with facts and figures.

It's certainly difficult to engage in debate against multiple people simultaneously because what tends to happen is someone makes a statement (with no evidence) in order to be funny or to demean your position, then they all laugh and circlejerk each other while you struggle to get a word in edge wise. Don't stoop to their level. Make a statement, back it up with valid evidence and if they aren't willing to consider it, move on, don't waste your time.

I spent a year informing my sister about the EU and how George Soros, Goldman Sachs and other funded it, and how they are plaining a one world government and she got tired and asked me to stop talking about it.
