Does /pol/ prep? Isn't it a reasonable thing to do?
>What are you prepping for?
>What are your preps?
>What prepping related things would you buy if you had the money?
General prepping discussion is encouraged.
bumping with unrelated stuff.

I'd rather wear a condom
About to let it die, I guess.
Maybe one more bump.
I'm too poor to properly prep.
My wife and I are farming animals to grow our own food and have some land to work, and we know how to get by without electricity, run water out of a well, etc.
But if I had more money I'd be buying
>guns/ammo
>solar panels
>functional gas masks/filters/tanks
>iodine and whatever else helps fight back radiation sickness
>small backup wind turbines
>water tanks
>freeze-dried food/apocalypse beans
>heirloom seed backups
>subterranean root cellar/refrigerator
>gas-powered generators and fuel
>fallout shelter
>subterranean aquaponic solar-powered garden
>classic world literature
I think we'll get by for a while if it's not a nuclear attack or an airborne bioweapon

Also we live in Maine, so my wife wants to buy one of the 6 million small private islands off our coast and set up a commune
Just prepping the bull

What actually is 'innawoods'?

> Is it a reasonable thing to do?
You dont need to be a hardcore prepper but to have some emergency supplies stored away is what I expect from any decent man.

This thread makes me want to order a pre-made bug out bag online now
>implying there will be some epic global natural disaster like in the movies and it wont just be like Venezuela where the economy gradually breaks down and whatever autistic bunker you've built gets raided by the government or rioters
learn innawoods or get raped
>>79055576
Im not a serious prepper but its a good idea to keep
>22 rifle
>ammunition
>food for a year
>water for a month or two
>some silver
>maybe some kind of burnable fuel
>first aid materials
I live in rural England, I have access to a network of about a dozen underground WWII-era bunkers. Very few people know the location of the bunkers and even fewer know that they are all connected up.
In the event of a mass happening, that is where I'll go; but I'll need to be prudent and see the happening coming for about a month in advance because I keep very few supplies in there.
For day-to-day paranoia, I have a (unlicenced) cavalry saber, some more illegal knives and a (licenced) shotgun.

Those look flooded in.
Not sure how theyll be of use to you
>>79058016
Invite me bro, I have a licensed rifle, a machete, a german switchblade, 2 hatchets, a bowie knife and a motorcycle.
Fun fact: it's illegal to keep more than 50L of drinking water at your home in austrailia. It's considered subversive.

Eurocucks excited about shit you can buy for $6 at Walmart
>>79058240
That's not them, it's just a picture I pulled off google to illustrate my point.
I've visited most of them and perform maintenance every free weekend so the entrances and don't get too overgrown and the foundations don't break up. A couple of them are too derelict to use, but fortunately all of the major linking bunkers are in good knick.
>>79058016
Figure out how to secure it and pump the water out forreal
a good set of locks are important
>>79058513
I refuse to believe this is true.
>>79058586
In Britbongistan, a machete is equivalent to having a surface-to-air missile launcher in America.
>>79058586
Ah yes. A Hunting Rifle, and a handmade bowie knife plus a Ducati Scrambler will run you up $6.
I'm not prepared whatsoever and if a happening comes all I have is the nearby mountains to run to without any food or water or supplies beyond a rifle and knife.

fuck off cuck
Who else is old enough to remember all the prepping hysteria around Y2K?
Some of my dad's coworkers wasted like thousands of dollars on prepping shit.
>>79057639
/k/ meme. Into the woods when shit hits the fan.
I don't have the money for anything elaborate but I'm working my way towards having my basics covered for a year.
>>79058929
I was being serious.
Unless you live in a 'culturally enriched' borough in The Caliphate of London, you will never have to worry about dangerous weapons on the streets.
Your machete and my saber are on the extreme end of the 'civil unrest' spectrum.
>>79055576
>What are you prepping for?
everything in general. there's no reason not to be prepared to some extent
>What are your preps?
guns ammo, extra food, water, water purification, lots of soaps and detergents. need to store up seed for crops just in case. tools for farming
>What prepping related things would you buy if you had the money?
generator for short term, soler power and wind power for long term SHTF. Tools for forging stuff out of scrap.
>>79059084
i remember, pol would be having a panic attack if it existed back then.
>>79055576
Why would I prep? Nigga, I'm the reason YOU prep.
>>79055576
>leaving vehicles outside like that
>not having vehicles inside a hangar away from exposure.
>not inducing additives to the cooling system, fuel delivery system, and lubrication system to help resist breakdown during long periods of inactivity.
>not coating tires with hygroscopic substance to deter "tire rot"
baka desu senpai
IT'S FUCKING HAPPENING
EXTRA-ORDINARY SHIT
IN ATHENS IT'S LITERALLY RAINING 6 INCH SNOWBALLS
The weather outside is like a fucking tornado is coming
What the fuck should I do?
>>79055576
Yes.
Yes.
Anything.
One week of Emergency Supplies.
One year of emergency supplies, bug out bag, bug out vehicle and a bomb shelter.
As soon as I read "prep," I thought of "prep the bull." You fuckers ruined me.

I'm not saying guns are hard to find, I'm saying that you won't encounter them on the streets.
They're very common in rural areas, hence why I have my own shotgun, but since we have less than 5% non-white population where I live, I'm in no danger of being shot by nigs.
Weapons are just powerful in Britain because they're rarely used wrongly, and when they are used with bad intentions, innocent people have no defense against it.
>>79055576
Preppers always say that most people are going to die in the catastrophic event, but somehow they all think that they will survive. I'm playing the odds. I'm going to be among the first to go, so no need to worry about these sort of things.
>>79055576
I have Russian Innawoods Kit from /ew/ guide (literally "End of the World" board).
But anyway I live just in 5km from early warning system radar, so if it will be nuclear happening, I'll die in a fucking flash.
>>79058016

Don't bother, they'll be giving <60% output by the time you actually need them.
It's easier (and more reliable) than you think to build your own wind turbine and arrange some car batteries.
I do have a bunch of 30 round AR mags and a billion rounds of 223. Not to shoot, but to flip if I need cash during a gun control scare

I wish it was in Portland. Except I don't because I'd have to see all the dirty hippy lib mouth breathers protesting him.
