I love Romania, growing up here is probably the best place to grow up simply because it gives you the chance to be whatever you want (character wise) without coddling you along the way.
Kids get beaten by their parents if they fuck up and yelled at if they screw up in school. SJWs bullshit will never reign supreme here and no one is considered a snowflake.
We get exposed to the bad habits (drugs, drinking, smoking) at a much earlier stage in life and it depends on us to make the right decisions and what company we keep around us.
I feel that growing up in this semi harsh environment turns you into a more cunning character and that can help us everywhere we are. It's crazy how many stories I know about foreigners being fucked over by Romanians simply because they aren't "street smart". This can have a bad connotation, I know, but I still laugh at the poor schmucks.
But the one thing I can not love about Romania is it's fucking denial of everything bad that is happening around us, this retarded nationalism grasping for the """past glory""" and trying to keep it relevant.
