I'm honestly looking forward to this. I'm not really a fan of Disney, but this looks like it has potential for some really great visuals and a nice little story to go along with it, though I expect nothing spectacular.
And from what it seems, I'm guessing this Maui is supposed to be older, and in this Disney announcement trailer (below, at 14s), it's mentioned that he was "a once powerful demigod", meaning that he has lost some if not a great portion of his power.
