If they weren't Orthodox I would be pretty happy. Nationalism is great but not when it comes to church there needs to be a universal power that can provide a check against the nation state otherwise the independent church is too easily influenced by the government. You can see this happening in China where the government comes in and defines doctrine. If they teach anything that's deemed anti government they'll shut down the churches.
