European army, European superstate, Turkey joining, Strong country UK leaving, Migrant crisis shows no sign of stopping (literally endless flow of people from areas such as Africa where there is a population boom of starving diseased people), New passport announced for migrants to travel across Europe, Being run by 3rd world tier authoritarians... Just a few few things being made official in the last few days.

It will also prop up the European Union power in regards to mundial issues.

I don't mind a european super state. It just has to be extremely democratic and it needs to unite europe somewhat. The current EU is run by authoritarian assholes who openly admit the europe's people wouldn't accept what they are planning.

Yep. They even did some study about why the vote failed. The report recommended that people who were against the vote shouldn't have been given equal airtime.

If the EU was run by directly elected representatives and parties, this could never be happen. All of europe is pretty liberal and would be totally against the shit they pull all the time. They get away with it because there's a huge hag between them and the people.

European countries have too much different culture.

Even fucking State culture in the US differs wildly. Magnify that by a fucking hundred and you have the difference between European countries.

It just goes to show how full of lies Remain were. "We can reform the EU" they say, moments before they announce plans to make the EU even more authoritarian and give the people even less sovereignty.

Thunderfoots videos lately have been cringe worthy.

I'm genuinely on the fence with the Brexit. I don't know if things will work out better or worse long term. It's very complicated trying to figure that out. But so far things have been overwhelmingly positive imo.

Thunderfoot has contributed absolutely no interesting points to the debate though.
>If we leave the EU we'll go to war and shit

is basically the intelligence and insight he's provided into this.
>>
>>78928364
also if the science the EU funds is so great, then they could just keep funding it with a fraction of the contributions they don't need to pay now. I don't see why people even mention this.
>>
>>78927808
You cannot really compare the USA and the EU. The EU is composed of many countries with wildly different cultures, heritage, languages and economies of different strengths. You cannot "forcefully unite" them by thinking "this will be good for us!"

In the USA although you have wealthy states like Rhode Island and poor as fuck states like Mississippi, everyone still identifies and a US citizen and we share the same pride in our history as a nation. Those "We're TEXANS before we are AMERICANS!" are extremely few and far between, nothing like how 4chin makes it out to be.

It couldn't and won't work. They'd have to run the EU as a 'soft' superstate for at least a hundred years with extensive generational brainwashing to remove cultures and languages.

They've been doing EXACTLY this already, but they jumped the gun and didn't give it enough time. Another 60 years and it probably would've worked.

And the only real existential threat to the euro nations right now is the EU.

The biggest thing England exports is cars. But they're usually the really shitty kinds, or the super expensive kinds like Jaguars or Rolls Royce. The dip wasn't hard enough for people to go out and start buying top end luxury cars like candy, so thats not gonna save the Brits, and the shitty cars makes are actually for things like Toyota, which aren't British owned, so rather than help their economy, the guys who run it now can get away with effectively paying the workers less for more product.

So yeah, they fucked themselves unless by some miracle they find something native to their island they can export in large amounts for decent chunks of change.

Well diplomatically we are more or less bros to the close with America, and have deep ties with the Nations of the Commonwealth. Along with a fair amount of diplo clout in general.

Militarily we are less than we once were, but such is as it is, we don't have the Empire to sustain forces that size any more, Though we still have a very high standard of training and good standard of equipment. And we still have the ability to project nuclear party poppers wherever we like.

And once this stuff simmers down we have a good economy to build upon with worldwide trade.

“I think it’s absolutely clear that Britain has a greater voice at the trade table being part of the EU, being part of a larger economic entity,” Froman told Reuters, adding that EU membership gives Britain more leverage in negotiations.

“We’re not particularly in the market for FTAs with individual countries. We’re building platforms … that other countries can join over time.”

If Britain left the EU, Froman said, it would face the same tariffs and trade barriers as other countries outside the US free trade network.

The table in this article has a more readable data set.

Essentially, Belgium, Ireland, all the south euro states and all the east euro states are welfare states that take in at least double what they contribute to the EU (hungry and poland take in 4x what they pay).

While Germany, France, the UK and all the nordic states get reamed to the tune of a 50% (or more) deficit between what they give and what they get.
Why the fuck where the eastern euros and southerners even let into the EU again?

Unless you're talking economics in terms of suppressing wages with cheap polish labour, you're fucking stupid.
Having trade deals with countries like hungry and greece is meaningless if the populations are too poor to buy any of your goods or services. Hell, any trade that they do give you is probably completely swallowed by the welfare you're pumping into them, you're probably just recycling your money through them (with the bureaucracy taking a cut first, of course).
You germans must have some sort of genetic propensity for brainwashing and believing propaganda or something, because there is clearly no economic benefit for you to have east or south Europe in the EU.

Say what you want Bertolli, but olde English common law is the greatest system of laws thus far created

One of the revolutionary parts of English common law is jurisprudence. In continental law (that's you; continental Europe) it's "this is the law now." In English common law, it's cases that are tried in court, and if a case is major enough to change the law depending on ruling, it goes to a higher court, and upon the decision, this decision becomes somewhat binding in the future cases.

>>78933141
Well, your economies are different, but why do you think it's a detriment to trade to the EU outside of the EU?

The EU has a demand, and Britain can fill it. Please explain though, I don't know how all of the EU laws work, it just seems that it would cost less in taxes to trade to EU countries if you are not in the EU, and if it doesn't, then they will trade with others.

gluing a bunch of non-competitive countries together is not going to do anything magical. It just adds overhead to making the sorts of political and social changes that are needed at the lowest levels.

And brexit has shown using the EU to shove political changes down the throats of the local populations leads to EU exit.

It looks like that at most the EU should be a free-trade zone.

>Correct me if I'm wrong; did many old people vote leave because they wanted the refugee benefits for themselves?

I don't know why the old voted leave, it is in part true that these migrants are, paying der pensions! If anything they've chosen a short term pain that might last till the end of their lives. The polls are showing that sovereignty is the number one reason people voted leave so it's possible they did us all a massive favour knowing it wasn't in their interest.

As for our economic libido, the boomers didn't kill it the immigrants did. We thought we could outsource economic growth, and relax while the nogs did all the work that teenagers used to do. And now we've got a generation of everyone under 30 who has no work ethic.

I sorta hope the exit hurts like a war. Make another decent generation.
