Probably one of those 'switched on leftys' (i've been told they exist) and realise that cheaper low skilled labour actually causes wage stagnation, puts pressure on GPs, hospitals, and schools thus costing more money, and gives greedy employers an excuse not to train their own staff. (fair enough, why should they? but when we have our own unemployed, priority should be given to them, THEN look outside, otherwise you'll make everything worse)
>>
>>78904157

This, truth is the level needed to attend uni is lower than ever before because education has been made into a business and it enforces a culture of arrogance where students believe the mere act of attending a classroom on 1 subject qualifies them for excellence in every subject. True story I debated a "politics phd" student in town during the ref who for a start spewed the 70 yrs of peace meme which i destroyed him on and finished by telling me the Labour party was on a massive comeback.... Unis are breeding robots who suit specific employment needs and absolutely nothing else in life. In a intuition required think for yourself moment they all freeze trying to think of textbooks for the answer.

Theres book smart and street smart, book smart doesnt help you when immigration causes blue collar wage compression in an environment of inflated house prices and low bank - public borrowing, the non university educated know this although might not be able to explain it aptly because it affects them.

Sometimes experience trumps education. What is a soldier worth who has has thousands of simulated battles but never a real one vs a soldier whom has survived dosens.

Education is sometimes a weakness if you have forgone life experience as a result.

>The Norwegian option of membership of the European Economic Area (EEA) is still on the table. For those people who wanted to remain in the EU, this is undoubtedly the most attractive arrangement. It involves continued membership of the single market, but also a continued obligation to accept European migrants..

Just what the fuck did we sign up for when we wanted to go into an economic trade agreement only? Why do we have to accept enrichment?> What sort of bollocks is this?
>>
>>78905038

I think it's down to the intersection of voters. There have always been a reasonably large number of independence supporters who are against holding another referendum, and quite a few of them will have voted for Brexit (after all, more than a third of Scots did). Those people are probably happy with the referendum result, are fed up of going to the polls, accepted the indyref result, and don't see the point in having another one. Add them to people who oppose independence, and that makes a majority against Sturgeon's scheming plans.

The media (so far) keeps it short and simple and ... I'm fairly suprised, pretty objective. I just read an article about the topic on Bild - the most hated and biased newspaper in germany, and they say almost the same stuff as Breitbart does, except they display Boris Johnson a bit ... stupid.

There are some EU praise going through, people feel sad that the UK is out, that the EU might face another crisis etc. etc.

But most of the talk is just "WE AS THE 27 REMAINING NATIONS HAVE TO GROW STRONGER TOGETHER WITH MUSLIMES AS OUR GLUE HOLDING US TOGETHER!!!!"

It has been LESS than 2 fucking working days you retard. I know it isn't just you saying this, and it's all over the media but please try and apply some brain power. Britain voting to leave the EU is a huge fucking decision and one that the markets completely failed to predict.

It takes about a week for such things to be levelled out by the markets. What has been important from this early period is that while FTSE and DAX have both bounced to some degree after the initial plunge, eurostoxx, CAC and IBEX35 have all fallen flat and hard.

http://www.euractiv.com/section/uk-europe/opinion/why-brexit-will-not-happen/

Wake up call:
Brexit might not actually happen.

Why?
Because ANY negative consequences, and ANY stalling or delays for the Brexit plan, or ANY concessions made by Brexit leaders when negotiating with the EU, will be pounced on by the pro-EU side, who will say: "See, you were lying, so we have to have a second referendum."

The pro-EU side are absolute scum. We've already seen them demand a 2nd referendum because Farage repeated, as he has done all throughout the campaign, that the 350mn figure is bunk; the pro-EU side are misrepresenting him and trying to force a new referendum; they're doign the same with Hannan; and they are going to do it again and again and again. They will try to take the people's side: "See! They lied to you!" and they will try to get May or someone into the PM position, and she will give a second referendum.

Why do people think Boris wants an EEA style deal? During the debates he talked about access to the single market - not complete access, but the fact we would still be trading with them no matter what. That's exactly what he means.

He even talks about the government being able to limit EU migration in his Telegraph market. That would simpyl not be possible with FULL ACCESS to the single market.

It's left wingers/BBC trying to shill this. There is no basis where the negotiators would accept an EEA deal given there is no mandate for it

A 2nd referendum in my eyes is unacceptable, id be saying the same thing if it went the otherway unless there was evidence to suggest fraud.

I dont condone civil disorder or violence outside of self preservation at all but if they force another ref and it gets ugly id understand peoples reasoning because to me thats bordering on outright blatent government corruption if not a marxist democracy subversion/revolution.

If this doesnt die down in the next few weeks and turns into protesting i think violence will happen, society is clearly polarized.

Its somewhat worrisome, but i suspect it will die down in a few weeks.

Is anybody else a little bit worried that they're going to just find some way to stop the EU exit?

I voted Leave but you know how these kikes work, they are desperately trying to find a way.

I really don't want to wake up one day to memes like "Yes, well done Leave supporters, HOWEVER"

Somebody please comfort me, tell me it's impossible or something.

I don't know off the top of my head but there are probably around 25.
There will be many more resignations from people like Jess Phillips who are junior ministers who work for the people who are resigning. If we include them then the number of resignations is around 23

Unions get to cast the votes on behalf of their members; while the public technically get a vote their votes dont count for shit. Hence why a pro-unionist anti-EU leader was elected head of a party that is pro-globalism anti-british workers.

Everybody knew the rules and the apathetic youth didnt vote, we had 72% turnout which is the higest ive ever seen in my life and leave won by over a million votes, cameron the whiny faggot spat his dummy out and stamped his feet because it didnt go his way instead of coming out holding his hands up and saying, well you voted we need to listen, ill do the job i was elected to do.

The government has a responsibility to now enforce the democratic choice asap, otherwise democracy is broken and it all breaks down.

Camerons delayed resignation is a tactic to hold off while other avenues are explored to avoid article 50.

Openly defying the will of the people on matters like this are a sure-fire way to start an insurrection or even a full revolution.
Look at what happened in Ukraine. Sure, it was ultimately financed and driven by external actors and foreign governments, but there were genuine objections to their rejection of the EU agreements.
And I wouldn't go so far as to say there weren't foreign agents that would exploit the tensions and fan the flames of resentment should the exit be rejected by anyone in power, if only to burn down the UK establishment and replace it with something they could manipulate.

>If they.cant explain what caused 2008, name 5 economists and explain what qe and bailouts were but justify remain based on the economic reasons they are a retarded useful idiot.

So despite that being an insane double standard, I'm not sure it makes sense.

Because I don't really know what quantitative easing really is I can't make assumptions that the UK is better off financially in the EU? They pump a bunch of money into the economy and that helps somehow. Some shit like that.

My basic intuition tells me that if we leave the EU and the single market then we'd have to start paying more to import things, we couldn't offer our financial services to Europe, companies that worked with the EU would leave, we wouldn't have as much cheaper skilled labour, making the transition is going to cost us billions, and our country is literally smaller so it must inevitably not make as much money.

I might not be able to name any economists and I don't know what the IMF or what the WTO do, but if they that we're not just going to have a recession, but when we stop that we'll have a smaller economy -- I'm going to believe in the face of no one saying otherwise.

I'm certainly not going to flat out dismiss them BECAUSE I'm ignorant about economics.

You might very well see that. It's like how the GBP went on a mad bull rush leading up to the scottish independence vote. The banks did that to help protect the value of the pound in case scotland seceded.

It took about a month for it to get back down to the range where the price should have been. The forex markets are still whipping around harder than usual.

The bright side to the whole thing is, that a lot of non GBP pairs got dragged down in the mud too. Once they start bouncing back, the pound will likely do the same.

Absolute zero. Our legislature and judiciary is now supreme. We will have to follow the EU's regulations if we want to trade there, just as we have to apply regulations to products we sell in China. But we do not have to alter our legislation one bit. If they try to keep our borders open, theoretically we can shut them unilaterally and there is nothing they can legally do about it. The ECJ has no more jurisdiction over us. How does it feel to live in an independent nation?

>>78906130

You're not thinking this through properly. They wouldn't have another referendum by the end of the week.

They'll have another general election and if people once again elect a pro-EU government then they'll take that as a tacit agreement to stay very close to Europe.

They'll have a new deal in place before we actually leave and they'll go "guys, we have a deal that we are going to go with, but it actually puts us in a worse position than if we stayed in the EU." Then they'll have another referendum and it won't be for another deal -- it will be the shit deal or the EU and then they'll go "look how fucked the economy is and how much Leave lied to you." and they'll make damn sure young people get out and vote this time.

If people once again vote to leave then at that point nobody can really complain. The fact is it was only 52 - 48 and the government wants to be in the EU. That's way too close for this to all be over.

I find it hard to believe that somebody whom can write such an eloquent response cant at least make educated guesses on those stipulations, i was also being somewhat dramatic and reactionary.

Paying more to import is a probable outcome, but wouldnt you then question the possibility of our now non eu bound government offering competitive businesses tax rates thus encouraging business/industry and therefore jobs to setup in the uk.

The economy may well take a hit, but policy or indeed lack of enforcement of it (eu policy)can be used to strengthen the country economically.

The pound falling and the markets technically makes this a buyers market now, this isnt a tinpot marxist oil rich socialist paradise like venezuela, we can still make our markets a better investment than others.

Also i know very little of economics outside of Keynesian and austrian 101, but i can name probably the last five heads of the federal reserve, the bank of england and a few economic authors past, and imf heads.

If you really do know very little about what caused 2008, what ae was and say hiw fractional reserve banking works you should check out youtube.

Politics and economics go hand in hand to a large extent, you are probably doing yourself a deservice.
