I think it's impossible to convert a large number but I know a guy that did convert. He was a pretty cool guy and we both were interested in Buddhist philosophy when we were in school. We used to talk quite a bit about it and exchanged good books to read.
Over time he went Sikh while I absorbed more of the Buddhist philosophies. I'm 100% sure what I read was the reason why I'm largely center-left politically.
