I am from one of the whitest provinces in Canada, and a conservative family. I absolutely hate him and what he has done to the country, by really pushing the idea on young people that Liberals are the "natural ruling party of Canada".
He spent one day touring the Ft Mac aftermath for a photoshoot. Harper and his wife spent weeks helping to clean up after the Calgary flooding.
He has also said his vision for Canada is basically tribalism; essentially he wants a country where a large number of different nationalities live together cohesively without one overarching national identity.
