So they've lost the vote of not only everyone who voted leave, but anyone in remain that actually values democratic integrity
>>
>>78796249

No one in remain respects democratic integrity. I agree with your first point, though.
>>
Yes.
I am predicting that next election will basically be between a party that doesn't want to return, hopefully the Tories, and parties which do want to return, Labour and Libdems.

So, the Tory party HAS to become an anti-EU party. If it does so, and it is fighting the next GE to remain outside of the EU, then UKIP could absolutely die.
If however the Tory party is taken over by one of the Cameronites, like May or Gideon, then on the one hand, we will likely rejoin, which would suck, but on the other hand, UKIP would sky-rocket.
>>
>>78796249
>leftist
>democratic integrity
kek good one
>>
this is another victim of optional voting
large blocks of people are not just being listened to. the brexit was the correction that was a long time coming.
it is outrageous that any leader would have the stones to campaign against the overwhelming will of the people
fucking shame
>>
>>78796378
If Corbyn survives this shit though I imagine Labour will become anti-eu, they'll lose the young lefty vote but gain the working class vote, which makes up the old, mid aged, ethnics AND young, as well as the entire north and midlands
>>
>>78796861
Democracy does not work in non-homogenous societies. Now is the time for a horrible realisation.
>>
>>78796084

as desperate as the eu damage control jerry

what?
>>
Britain not gonna leave and never will. Mark my words.
>>
When's the election? Perhaps the EU will be too damaged by then
>>
>>78796484
You're an idiot if you think Brexit is a left vs right issue.

I'm staunchly left wing and I voted to leave.
>>
>>78796084
It sounds like a good opportunist move on paper, but it doesn't work when you think about it.
The only people that refuse to Shut the fuck up about it, regardless of the facts, are students and champagne socialists, and the former barely fucking votes.
It's simply not a deal breaker for other demographics, and will be seen as actively abhorrent for the working class and patriotic.

Labour just saw how bad an idea it is to piss off the working class, and the lib dems had enough image problems before adding out of touch lefty elite to il the lot.

That's not to mention the fact that they've spent months scaremongering about how the EU will impose vicious sanctions on us if we try crawling back
>>
>>78796249
Given that the EU is the opposite of democratic integrity, it's pretty clear that the remain part doesn't really care about it.
>>
>>78797381
this. it's more national vs global

>>
>>78797270
Exactly what I said. If you have a country divided in two, making decisions based on the opinion of the majority will piss off and radicalise half of the population no matter the outcome. Or look at USA, where all the minorities vote for gibsmedats while not giving any shit about other minority groups or country as a whole. That's why nationalism is necessary.
>>
Reminder that the fallout from the Tories and Labour could actually make this a 2 horse race between Lib Dems and UKIP.

I think we're actually in for a real shitshow of an election, old people are FAR less prone to switch to a new party, young idiots are all for cucking themselves.

Spain has said they'll veto any attempt by Britain or an independent Scotland at rejoining.

We won. Face it.
>>
>>78797385
I think it will do wonders for Lib Dem. Look at the election maps. If they can position themselves in all these districts which voted 60%+ pro-EU, they could be relevant again.
>>
>>78797745
For a melting pot to work initial differences between people should be small enough, like with the USA when migrants were of european origin, or the number of people from different cultures should be low enough to assimilate instead of banding with each other into ghettos, thus producing more minority groups.
>>
>>78797962
>Spain has said they'll veto any attempt by Britain or an independent Scotland at rejoining.

Spain has an election today and might have a completely different government in a few weeks.

Labour will probably go into meltdown, but the tories can likely recover.
The Tory remain camp hasn't thrown a tantrum, for one, and seem to be pulling off successful damage control.

The Lib Dems just don't have the presence or demographics to go far, since their voterbase doesn't actually vote, and they don't have enough confidence in any other areas to make the EU issue stick.

UKIP might make significant gains, depending on how badly the other parties fuck up, but their main boosts will be from the fact that the racist card has clearly lost its edge, and that they've finally had a significant victory

Corbyn really needs to hit his rebels with the democracy card. Hammer home the fact that they've betrayed the party roots, and he might survive.

Don't forget that the Lib Dems propped up and gave us a Tory government 5 years before the Tories won without help. They also help to privatise the Royal Mail. The Lib Dems are opportunistic shit eating fucks.

That would piss any stability we have up a wall.

Nobody but the most conniving opportunist would want that.

So yeah, Tim will be all over it.
>>
>>78799432
Given the amount of unrest, we're certain to have a GE before the end of the year.

You didn't think voting out actually meant we're out, did you? Nobody wants to actually enforce that aside from UKIP, which means the next election will be Boris vs Nige with Farron potentially poised to seize power through the cucked kids who demand their say this time around.

It all comes down to how effectively UKIP can attack Boris for his position just being a political stepping stone instead of an actual campaign. But hey, the FPTP system might actually help us out this time, with LD only getting seats in London and university cuck strongholds.
>>
>>78799957
>implying there is any stability anyway without a PM

>>78799432
Yup. The only way there can be a general election earlier than 2020 is through a vote of no confidence in parliament.

why does UKIP still exist? i've got no problem with it but didn't they achieve their goal? the UK is independent so they either change their name or join another party.

I don't see how what they're doing is undemocratic in the slightest. Faron ran to remain and he's from a constituency that voted remain. Go look up how our democracy works.

If Remain had won I don't imagine you'd call the continued existence of UKIP as undemocratic.
