Hey Bongs - I bought some of your piss water to show my support for Brexit.

Anyone else doing their part to help out the Britfags before the Globalist strike back?
>>
>>78737155

Geordie here and thanks for buying Brown Ale, how did you find it? I think we've got better Ales here but Brown Ale isn't what I would call one of my favourites but it is pretty nice chilled.
>>
Don't the dumb UK alcohol laws mean that "cider" is a lot more popular than beer due to much lower taxes?

They carry it in my supermarket here in the great state of Texas.

I don't mind newcastle. It's one of the better mass produced beers.

Yea I'm a little confused on this one too. I guess when our traditional beer is Budweiser, we don't really know shit.

>>
>>78737440
Cider is generally cheaper than beer per unit of alcohol because it is taxed at a lower rate to subsidise orchards, but it's mostly popular in the southwest due to inbreeding and homeless people due to cheapness

>>78737679
Most of our ales you'd want to serve at cellar temperature, which is about 12 degrees. The colder beer (or any other liquid) is the less of it you'll taste, which is why a lot of commercial lagers advertise that their product should be served just above freezing

You have to buy hipster beers these days in order to buy American. All the major "American" mega breweries have been bought out by foreign corporations.

>>
>>78737679
Flavours are stronger when warm. A room temperature beer is just the thing when your country has been in decline since Victoria died and it rains every other day even in summer, reminds you that it could be worse.
>>
>>78737525
>>78737643
>>78737679

Actually the brewer even suggests that Newcastle Brown Ale be drunk cold. Look at the back label.

As for real ales, IPAs and porters, yes. Traditionally drank room temp.

Maybe I will order something from the UK. It might shock you that I was supporting the brexit as a liberal but I think they made the right choice. All political shit and "racism" aside they weren't getting nearly as much back as they were putting in. It isn't. Our oldest and thus traditional beer is PBR. That being said, America actually houses the top beers in the world, with more microbreweries and award winning beers than any country on earth. The idea that America only drinks pisswater is pretty outdated and is based on macro American lagers that get exported. I'd rather drink any American micro than even the best European beers. We've come a long way in the last 30 years.

Funny enough, I was actually looking at buying Ardbeg instead of Glenfiddich for referendum night, but obviously chose the latter.

>Weekend off from work
>Start drinking whiskey and playing computer games on friday night
>End up drinking until I black out and pass out, wake up Saturday and spend all day drinking until I do the same thing, wake up Sunday morning and drink a bit to ease off the hangover

That's why I don't drink anymore

This also goes for soft drinks at restaurants. No ice typically but you can ask for it. I'm from Southern Commiefornia so I expect my drinks to be cold. I guess when the sun only comes out 3 times a year and it's always jacket weather, the refreshments are "cellar temp" as the bongs in this thread have explained. Or maybe it's adhering to a tradition. Whatever it is, you don't seem to care when you get about 3 or 4 pints deep.

I go to England a lot for work (Manchester area) and I've yet to see this shit on draught anywhere. I think more Americans drink that crap and brits.

why did you do it ? what drove a man to sweeten his bacon ?

I really like your guys' cider. Your beer/ale is mostly shit but some of your local cider is the best I've ever had. There is a Pub in York called Maltings that I always go to because of their good strong cider.

nice. For the 12 pack of normal newcastle here, the price will fluctuate from 12.xx to 20. Its bullshit when it goes high
>>
>>78737155
I like Newcastle, but what's the deal with the funky smell on the bottles? There's some kind of sealant or something on that caps that makes the mouth of the bottle smell like a butthole.

Studied abroad in Newcastle and didn't see anyone drink Newcastle. Everyone drank Carling/Fosters from cans or that flat warm stuff y'all call beer. Otherwise, cool city

Our mass-produced beers are shit, but if Molson and Labatts are any indication, mass-produced beers of any country suck. American craft beers are often as good as any European beer. One of my favorites is Southern Tier, a western New York brewery that produces a pretty decent variety.
