Problem with conservative values is that they work only when they're YOUR conservative values. /pol/ believes in a lot of traditional values that line up with Islamic ones - and obviously, nations that would go to war over how to properly fry bacon would still agree on these things if only for the strength they bring - but we recognize the importance of keeping out conservatives who otherwise wouldn't align with us. Muslims see this too: if they promoted conservatism among us then we'd simply use it to keep them out, the way they would use it to invade and overpopulate us.

I think that ship has sailed. The Democrats have already won over the Muslim demographic for the next generation or two. Plus much of Trump's appeal comes from his hard line rhetoric on Muslims, so toning that down may have prevented him from coming as far as he has.
