It's definitely not going to be worse than either of the movies. I'm just hoping it will be like later TNG episodes and First Contact

There's been all sorts of weird species with weird modes of reproduction.
There was that time that captain got pregnant.

All you making this thread shows is that you've probably never watched any Star Trek.

Thinking about it it wasn't a captain, I don't think, it was some male officer. He was kind of raped. He goes on the alien ship and the chick says "wanna play a game where we put our hands in this bowl of rocks" and next thing he knows he's pregnant.

All those things already happened in TNG and DS9... There's that episode with Riker and the androgynous woman, the episode with Dax and her ex wife hooking up, the episode in witch Quark gets a sex change to promote feminism to some ferengi businessman, and all that mirror universe episodes where almost all major female characters were bi/lesbians... Not to mention that Dax was openly bi/pansexual through the entire series.

he was all for him, that's why in early TNG you see men in skirts

the thing about Roddenberry was that he generally presented such things in a 'natural' setting, ie didn't call things out but just had them in the background like it was normal. If we have gay romance and tranny aliens at the forefront of the storyline, that's going to be kind of bullshit

>not being Pro-Cardassia

A pink-skinned unwed Fed-propagandized ex-terrorist Bajoran professor (unaccredited) and self-sealing stem bolt salesman was teaching a class on The Celestial Temple, known hoax.

“Before we begin, let's get on our knees to worship The Prophets and accept that they were, are and will be the most highly-evolved beings the cosmos has ever known, greater than any corporeal life!”

At this moment a brave, patriotic, pro-state Gul and visiting tourist who served 1500 tours of duty in the Cardassian Union's armed services and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decisions made by Central Command stood and held up a reverse-ratcheting router.

“How was this made?”

The arrogant professor crinkled his nose and smugly replied “By divine inspiration from the Tears of the Prophets, Spoonhead.”

“Wrong. We created it 5,000 years ago. Our unparalleled education system raised the scientists who engineered the design. Our fearless leaders had the vision to expand to the stars and enlighten your backwards planet. You learned everything you know from us. If The Prophets were real, they wouldn't have made a universe where routers need to ratchet in reverse.”
>>
>>78731906
You high or something? That show was degenerate enough already.
>>
>>78732000

The professor was visibly shaken and dropped his PADD of Orb Prophecies. He stormed out of the room crying those religious Denebian Slimedevil tears.

The students awoke from their Vedeks' indoctrination, applauded and registered Reconciliation that day and accepted Cardassia as Bajor's benefactor. A vole named Obsequience crawled into the room, perched atop the Gul's flag and shed a tear on the PADD. The Never-Ending Sacrifice was read several times and Enabran Tain himself showed up to confirm the Obsidian Order knew all their secrets but would keep them in exchange for loyalty.

The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gerrold plague, Regulan Bloodworms, and was tossed into the superstitious locals' Fire Caves for all eternity.

yes they addressed it, and left it at that, for everyone making up their own mind about that.
Not shoving it into their face about how everyone is and kind of phobe.

They whole narrative of TNG is that humankind has evolved past things like gender, race, religion, idiology etc. evaluating the persons on their skill and achievements.

7-9 was introduced well and was an interesting character at first. then she got the spotlight and every other episode was about her. while its true, we could have had more B'llana episodes, or Harry Kim is a clone and no one seems to care episodes and those are bad things. Tom Paris getting his shit kicked in more would be good

i feel 7 would have been a better supporting character to Janeway, with a subtle rivalry between her and Chakotay.

basically, she had to pull Data AND be the token sexy chick AND be Geordi most the time too

Tuvoc/Tupoc is actually the second-best character on the show until Jeri Ryan shows up. I can't recall anything in Voyager that referenced him being black. Although I was pissed when it happened, because there were no black Vulcans, I don't hold it against the actor. VOY is still an absolutely terrible show.

Letting whole civilizations die because "muh natural selection" while using medicine on themselves makes them good people?

Turning their noses up at everyone who doesn't share their narrative makes them good people?

Oh, right. having unrealistically overpowered and simplistic matter-antimatter energy sources and energy-to-matter replicators makes them good people.

TNG is shit. DS9 knew what was up.

It's strange to think that TNG would be considered reactionary by modern SJWs.

If I'm serious, the vision presented by Star Trek is something I would truly be happy with - a society where everyone really does get along and sex, gender, race etc doesn't matter at all, but where content of character is important, where people are friendly and get shit done through team work. That's something I would naturally support. The fact that this isn't the goal of the left really does say something.

>Michael Eddington: [to Sisko] I know you. I was like you once. But then I opened my eyes. Open your eyes, Captain. Why is the Federation so obsessed with the Maquis? We've never harmed you. And yet we're constantly arrested and charged with terrorism. Starships chase us through the Badlands, and our supporters are harassed and ridiculed. Why? Because we've left the Federation, and that's the one thing you can't accept. Nobody leaves Paradise, everyone should want to be in the Federation! Hell, you even want the Cardassians to join. You're only sending them replicators because one day, they can take their rightful place on the Federation Council. You know, in some ways, you're even worse than the Borg. At least they tell you about their plans for assimilation. You're more insidious, you assimilate people - and they don't even know it.

Eddington confirmed for red pilled.

Star Trek always seemed more commie and Jewy than Star Wars to me. Still a good show. Now Battlestar Galactica is something I can get into. The original Larson cheesefest is still better than the soap opera / serial drama made by a former TNG writer. The original had high goals and actual aliens. The Scifi serial is just a bunch of empowered womyn, a spic Adama, and their endless fight against Xena the Warrior Princess and Al from Quantum Leap.
