Bit of a depressing read lads, really shows how much liberals like Carswell and Hannan have shoved aside UKIP in the EU discussions

>“There’s nothing new here,” he says. “I think we are going into a mild recession anyway, completely regardless of Brexit.

>He's fallen for the Blairites want Brexit meme

>But this time, he wants a non-aggression pact between his side and the Conservatives. “There would have to be a different approach. There wouldn’t be much point in us opposing a Brexit Conservative in a marginal seat. There would need to be some real thinking about that. It would depend whether the Conservative Party wanted to be cooperative with us. But if we have a Brexit government and a Brexit Conservative party, the whole landscape’s changed.”

>Sehr interessant indeed.

Of course some leftists are already calling for parliament to ignore the referendum without realising that might get them PM Nigel Farage.

He's always been against it. He campaigned against joining back in 1974, and even as recently as a tweet in 2011 called it undemocratic.

Labour had their own, separate remain campaign for some reason (and unlike the separate Leave.EU campaign for Brexit, this was not because they were forced to), which barely made and noise at all until Corbyn himself started to say things against the EU in a pro-EU speech. He even said there was 'no upper limit' to migration from the EU.

Corbyn has always been weak, but he at least gave no fucks when it came to saying 'I believe in this'. This time though, he was so weak he didn't even steer his party in the direction that the working class, the people they claim to represent, were going for - Brexit.

He's literally prolonging market certainty.

I think he's made the right mistake.
The markets were panicking hard yesterday. To invoke Article 50 would've been economic illiteracy. It would have added to the uncertainty.

We'll wait a few days, and he'll probably be pressured by the EU to leave and by then the markets will have recovered enough to take another bit of a hit when the article is invoked.

petitions just get the right to be "debated by parliament"

the debates are like this:
mp: so someone made a petition that got 100000+ signatures
rest of house: tell us more
mp: same ranting shit as ever
rest of house: yeah tell them to fuck off

you might remember the last big petition to keep trump out of the uk. you might also notice he has been in scotland the past few days.
