I was going to make a joke about only allowing women younger than thirty onto my island and being the only man just to see if I could beat Genghis Khan's record for fathering the most children, but then I suddenly realised that it'd mean that I'd have to do literally all the work around the place and die of a heart attack in my forties from being bitched at 24/7.
I have no knowledge of how to run a succesful society but here's my effort:
1. Idealy no money system. Everyone ought to benefit from eachother. The carpenter in charge of buildings and development etc. Fisherman and hunters/gatherers for feed. No need for money if everyone work together and benefit from various tasks. Might be risky to rely on fishing and hunting/gathering, but this is idealy. Obviously modern, proper food is preferred and possible, but I haven't thought that much about it yet.
2. Government. Honestly no idea. There would have to be some sort of rule. If I was to create this society from the ground up, I would like to be part of the initial government. After that, depending on the amount of population, there could be some sort of democracy.
3. No form for religion. Personally I do not have a problem with people who believe, but it just so often seems to infer with everything else - way of life, government, rules, personal beliefs etc.
4. Education system. Simple stuff. If you want to be a carpenter you learn by other carpenters. If you want to be a fisherman, you learn by other fishermen etc. No fucking educational system or exams. Obviously there would have to be responsibilities and the seniors would deem juniors "ready" for specific tasks.

To me this is supposed to be how democracy should actually work. Not everyone is invited because we all know many people aren't fit for this, and you still get a good pool of citizens taking parts in magistrate or whatever at (somewhat) random. It wasn't completely random either.

Teenagers and college aged adults wouldn't really have the rights they would in a normal society. They would indubitably have protections and support, but they would live by the will of their parents and elders.
This is mostly meant to curb radicalization in the youth while also providing them happiness and education. Arranged marriages would be organized for those kids in their 20's that couldn't find a partner on their own.

It's a private island, I'm obviously already pretty wealthy and know wealthy people, so I'll do what anybody smart would do and set up a tax haven and vacation destination. 10% tax on all commerce on the island, that should be plenty to afford reasonable security forces and workers. Charge as much as the government can get away with for leasing property. Be somewhat exclusive with visas. It'll basically be a playground for billionaires and hotel chains.

I would pass and revoke laws on a daily basis, with absolutely no public consultation and the death penalty in place for any serious crime (and very harsh punishments even for smaller crimes). Strong media censorship would be in place, with very little outside content allowed. Network would consist of intranet only for 95% of people (NK handles this well). Leaving would be difficult and expensive (only a minority would have passports) and anyone returning would be subject to close inspection for signs of dissent.
However, I would not do this openly or I would be subject to mob revolt. I would put an electable puppet in place, with elections every few years competing on frivolous issues. Benevolent dictatorship above a military junta. It would fall on the military to decide whether or not another dictatorship would be appropriate and when to choose the next dictator.
I would bring in workers harvest any natural resources the island had and establish towns and ports. Using finances I would insure every single citizen of The Big Cheese Island would have a home with electricity and a stable enough income to buy food.
