SO /Pol/ ARE YOU READY TO DEFEND DEMOCRACY?

Its time to defend your rights to have a say in the world and shut the cucks up. And you know it will cause much saltyness.

Petition has not started yet, Any changes to the Title/Description recommended?

I need 5 email addresses to get this shit started. Give me any shitty fake ones (or your real ones). I will post the link in a new thread when this is done

Take the intellectual high ground and cut the shit

A counter petition makes you all look like childish fags and you legitimize the original one

+1 for this. Although im not sure if you can add images to the petition.

This is stupid, the other petition won't do shit anyway. Some dumb online petition isn't enough to invalidate a democratic vote. Just let them be sore losers for a while, they will calm down eventually.

This isnt about the high ground. Its about pissing lefties off and watching more tears.
>>
>>78659617
Why would you give them any credibility by creating a counter-petition. There is 0 (zero) chance of a second EU referendum. The fucking prime minister has resigned.

To attack these vulnerable people over the way they voted and claim they shouldn't be able to make their own choice is an affront to democracy.
My own generation make me feel sick.

>>78661855

Title has hit maximum word count.
Description has 65 characters left.

Ignore those asking for a 2nd Referendum. Dont Bend Or Break Our Great Democracy

A change now would mean the desecration of democracy. Democracy is under attack by disrespectful and inexperienced youth. Let us join hands with individuals such as David Cameron who show respect for democracy even in the face of loss.
>>
>>78662038
Right hold up.

You dont need to capitalize everything in the headline in fact just first sentence is probably enough.

2nd part we need to consider carefully, democracy allows everyone to vote including disrespectful and inexperienced youth so this should be carefully reworded otherwise it'll get the same complaints levied at you that you're doing for others.

Need to have a think about this, give me a few minutes.
>>
>>78659617
Cool! Let's use these petitions to count as votes for who wants to remain and who wants to leave, then we can settle this once and for all!

OH WAIT, WE ALREADY HAD A FUCKING VOTE, WHY IS EVERYONE SO STUPID
>>
Link ?
>>
>>78662290
Good work.

Whole point of this is to cause butthurt by laying down some truth.
>>
>>78662614
Working on it
>>
Fuck direct democracy

I don't want some semi-literate itv-watching rodent having any say of important policy decisions.

Literal spastics and senile people swung the referendum.
>>
Check the grammar.
"Ignore Those Asking for a Second Referendum. Don't Bend or Break Our Great Democracy."
>>
>>78662038
We don't want ignore, we want to consider and reject, it also needs to be explicitly targeting the other petition. Given that I think the headline should be

"Reject petition asking for a 2nd Referendum."

The body should probably be modified to something like

"A change now would mean the desecration of democracy. Democracy is under attack by disrespectful and inexperienced youth. Let us join hands with individuals such as David Cameron who respects our democratic system despite disagreeing with the outcome."

I think it's worth mentioning democracy as a value and that Cameron isn't showing respect but it's something he has. I think we should avoid "loss" as well as it could be construed as leave being a net loss objectively rather than it being that he didn't get his way.

I dunno it's still not great but a step forward, can anyone improve that? It's really important the wording is right because I've watch the video of parliament discussing these things and they tear the message to shreds if it's not written well.
>>
>>78661603
Remove the attacks on the youth. It will just cause a bigger divide between generations. Remember we want them on our side.

I think the youth part of 'disrespectful and inexperienced youth' should be changed to people. Otherwise you're singling out the youth when it needs to encompass everyone.

Even reCAPTCHA is british - pic related.
>>
>>78662964
Yeah actually thinking about it, we do have some evidence it was younger people causing this backlash but it's probably worth avoiding direct accusations of certain groups of people , as this anon says it's more likely to just cause a divide and enrage more of the youth.

I think it's better to stick to promoting democracy as a core British value rather than the negatives of attacking people.

How about

"Reject the petition asking for a 2nd Referendum."

"A change now would mean the desecration of democracy which is a core British value people have fought and died to protect. Let us join hands with leaders such as David Cameron who respects our democratic system despite disagreeing with the outcome."

Also made the change from individual to leader, gives him more clout. And added that democracy as a value was fought for, helps show its read value.

>>
>>78663839
Er, also might be worth adding "for a 2nd EU referendum" just to make it more clear.

In fact the 1975 was a referendum on the EU so it might be worth changing 2nd for "another"

So "Reject the petition asking for another EU referendum. Don't abandon our great democracy."

Or just

"Reject the petition asking for another EU referendum. Don't abandon democracy."

That puts democracy as a value again rather than something that happens to be tied to Britain.

I would go further. I would say "do not abandon" as it is even more formal, and sounds far stronger.

Capitalise Prime Minster also. Might want to expand it to "our Prime Minister, the party leaders and the Remain campaigners".
>>
>>78665077
Also change the comma after value to a full stop and capitalize "Since"

"A change now woul dmean the desecration of democracy which is a core British value. Since 1918 the people of the UK have worked, fought and died to protect their democratic liberties."

Or democratic freedom, freedom always sounds great.
>>

>>78665500

Alright, never mind. This is very good now.
>>
>>78665354
Well what do you recommend?

Reject the petition for another EU referendum. Don't abandon our great democracy

A change now would mean the desecration of democracy. Since 1918 the people of the UK have worked, fought, and died to protect their democratic liberties. Democracy is a core Britich value. Let us join hands with all people who respect our democratic system despite disagreeing with the outcome.

If you want salt, then why are you making them think they have legitimacy with this?

Ignoring them is the best salt right now. They lost, so they want to fight, but you just ignore them. If you really want to piss them off, ignore them or play the boogieman atleast. Don't make a fucking counter petition. Now that you've won, make petitions about removing kebab. Kickstarting 3rd Reich with tax money. Cutting welfare from students. The fights over, now fuck around with the throne. You're now above them, so don't fucking crawl back to them.

"Let us unite with all people who respect our shared democratic values."

??

If we can give a legitimate counter-petition we can maximise the yield of tears.
If we submit a hasty petite that attacks people it will only serve to strengthen their resolve and push even harder.

If the petition is produced sensibly and presents an opportunity to bring forth and maintain sensible democratic attitudes then the original butt-hurt petition will be seen for what it actually is; butt-hurt.
This may very well help to quash further resistance to democracy from butt-hurt groups and dissuade them from trying any further attempts.
Remember; if Remain won they would behave in much worse ways than we are. If we can show maturity where they are lacking then they lose.

Yes it is, in a democracy you vote and if you don't get the result the elite demand you browbeat those who opposed you, fear monger the position and vote till they get it "right".
