I made a reddit account for the sole purpose of arguing (proper arguing, with arguments and facts and the like, not just name calling) with people over Brexit.
I can't decide if this is a slippery slope towards becoming a redditor, or if what I am doing might actually change people's minds.

Don't help them learn faggot
Don't bother it's not worth it, 90% of reddit are leftist socialists who will down vote anything they disagree with. The Unitedkingdom sub is particulary bad.

Not anymore. Ever since Orlando there has been a YUGE increase in Trumpist sentiment, even in mainstream subs.

you have to go back
>>78644185
You are Reddit now. Away with you
>>78644335
But shouldn't that be the first step?

I honest to god don't understand the voting system, no idea what it does aside from being a decorative number next to my name/comment. Can't say I care about it either, since even if I did know what it did, it wouldn't change the style or content of anything I would post.

I go the new/rising tab in any popular subreddit and leave dumb bait in the comments on purpose to start a flame war. It can't be too dumb that it gets removed though that's the trick.
I encourage you to try, but you will mostly fail. Or if you have success you will never know it because they'll stop responding.
You need to see the depths of insanity the left has reached. They will deny the most obvious facts from reputable sources. Also prepared to be banned as many moderators do not like dissenting opinions.
Was a site is dominated by The Guardian, Independent and The Mirror (all considered Left-to-Far-Left papers here in the UK), you know your wasting your time on that site.
On Worldnews after Brexit more than half the sources were either out of date, misquotes or plain bollocks.

B-but isn't going out and informing people part of what we should be doing? With my demographic and town (utrecht, i.e. liberal student centre) in mind, the people I would be talking to would most likely be redditors anyway.

*when, its early

True, the trump sub is the only uncensored sub (as long as you don't shill for hillary) and I have seen that sentiment slowly rising in other subs, it's still pretty shitty in general though go take a look at the butthurt Remainers in the UK subreddit.

It's the stupidest idea ever, it literally stifles free speech and amplifies a certain way of thinking right to the top, while differing opinions are hidden with downvotes, and groups of people abuse this with bridaging the best thing to do would be to remove voting altogether oh wait, that's /pol

That headline about France overtaking our economy because the pound dipped good god.... That's not how it fucking works even the IMF says this.
>>78644185
you'll be banned in a few minutes.
>>78644185

It means that the hivemind will downvote any opposing voice and hide it so you are silenced. Dissent will not be tolerated.

So what happens if I reply to the "top/most upvoted" comment?

Even reddit can't ban facts
Seeing as I don't know what my little number is or does, banning my account will just result in me making a new one and not caring about the old one.
