Anyone else notice how liberals now hate the idea of democracy after the Brexit results?
>>
>Democrats
>Democratic
Some want to see the process be more democratic

Yes i'm actually a little surprised by their reaction

i suppose i was naive and had unwarranted faith in their apparently non-existent respect for democracy

conservatives have been respecting the democratically-decided decisions of liberals for decades now. begrudgingly respecting them, but respecting them nonetheless. But now that conservatives have actually won something, liberals have absolutely lost their shit. the tantrums are unreal

Kek.

I was arguing with a Marxist ("democratic socialist"). This was pretty much his position:

Him: Democracy is really good. It's a fundamental necessity for our government.

Me: So would it be okay if a right-wing government was elected democratically?

Him: Well.. no, I mean. Because, Hitler and stuff.

>Oh, I see Lenin. You're fine with democracy provided it gives you the outcome you need, but otherwise it's awful.
>>
Yeah, can we abolish the electoral college for this next one, please?
>>
They are starting to realize just how much their grip on public information is loosening. They have badly, badly underestimated the internet.

I don't like democracy much either but it's for entirely different reasons.

Still, it's funny to see the backpedaling from the left once the democratic process is used against them.

It is the same as their arguments.

If you don't align with them, it's because you're ignorant/hateful.

If votes don't turn out their way, it's because the system is broken.

They consider themselves to be the arbiters of truth and "right".

They don't see their facism for what it is, it's amusing.

Liberals have hated the idea of democracy since, I dunno, the 1970s? Before I was born anyway.

liberals are the betas of society and try to control things passive aggressively

conservatives are the alphas who take to arms when shit is bad enough

Yep. Lived in UK for a few years, facebook is full of people trying to emphasize that the referendum isn't binding and they should go against the vote

I wonder if they'd be saying that if Remain won?

They learnt the hard way after they, their wife, and their wife's son got to vote on who the dad will be. Clearly they chose Tyrone.
>>
I don't see why anyone should be surprised - they are perpetual children that are never content with results when they go against what they want. These are the same people that claim voter ID laws are "racist" when they are trying to stack the deck in their favor.

>Yes i'm actually a little surprised by their reaction
I'm not. Read through history again.
>>
I wouldn't say anyone is directly complaining about democracy here. I do agree that the "old people shouldn't vote" thing is nonsense. Ultimately, the voters were entitled to their decision, even though I think it was stupid.
>>
Yeah, they wanted the vote, they got the vote, they didn't like the outcome, fuck em.

Mainly poor people ad fat women complaining who have to many kids. As for the rich it's just because of the money will suck for a while.

I'm comfy with £67,000 in the bank and no mortgage. I'll just sit back and laugh, but I voted out.

FUCK YOUR EU.

Inplying you assholes would behave any better. You literally call for violent revolting if you don't get your way.

>muh race war

Pathetic
