So why don't we (Britain) just become a massive tax haven and let corporations come here and run wild?
I genuinely don't see why this wouldn't work. Lower corporation tax, encourage loads of business, make a gorillion pounds while doing very little.

Because then they'd have to lower govt spending, which equals reducing govt size. Its not about how much money is in the country to them, its how much money they control totally; the fact they can lie and claim its "the peoples money" and they're "doing the people will with common sense socialism" is just a convenient lie.

Just move to Somalia you libertard!

Not necessarily. Attract more business at a lower rate of tax and you can fund things in a similar way, because although the rate is lower, there's more big business to actually put in.
The UK is a desirable country. If we can play on that in the global market and do something to similar to Singapore in terms of attracting business we could do very well.

Yeah the Tax haven only works for dinky little islands in the Caribbean where you can just put a phone on a cardboard box in a closet and make it your world headquarters.

I'm not even a libertarian. I just don't see the issue with this idea. Even if you're a lefty surely you can see the maths makes sense. It's like a shop doing a sale to make more money despite charging less.

It wouldn't work because Ireland is right next door with a low corporation tax rate, English-speaking workforce, and is still a member of the EU.

It's also Ireland.

And? Arbitrarily shitting on Ireland aside, in the long run Ireland could stand to benefit from a flight of multinationals from the UK.
I'm considering moving to the UK because there is no tax on gambling.

I think that's exactly what Farage wishes for UK.
>>78575051
Because it only works for small countries. UK has too many people.

It's worked for Switzerland.
