Currently Scotland benefits from a plethora of EU programs for urban regeneration, farmers subsidies, infrastructure projects, cultural projects, etc. (Fuck the fishermen, they're absolute twats but Alex Salmond has done a lot for them)
We don't really get much immigration either simply because it's too fucking cold and miserable up here and those who do integrate much better than down south. There is little to no "Ghetto" effect so immigrants blend in relatively quickly.

All the while forcing nuclear weapons on our land, stealing our oil and literally redrawing sea boundaries so they can steal oil fields just in case we think of leaving.
