Why is it that there were so many intellectuals that backed the Remain vote, while almost no notable people other than a few fringe economists, British Libertarians and C-grade celebs backed the Brexit?

Peggy Noonan's article, Trump and the Rise of the Unprotected, explains it quite well. It even predicted a successful Brexit.

http://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-and-the-rise-of-the-unprotected-1456448550

>The protected are the accomplished, the secure, the successful—those who have power or access to it. They are protected from much of the roughness of the world. More to the point, they are protected from the world they have created. Again, they make public policy and have for some time.

>They are figures in government, politics and media. They live in nice neighborhoods, safe ones. Their families function, their kids go to good schools, they’ve got some money. All of these things tend to isolate them, or provide buffers.

>One issue obviously roiling the U.S. and Western Europe is immigration. It is the issue of the moment, a real and concrete one but also a symbolic one: It stands for all the distance between governments and their citizens. It is of course the issue that made Donald Trump.

>[Citizens] on the ground in member nations came to see the EU apparatus as a racket—an elite that operated in splendid isolation, looking after its own while looking down on the people. In Germany the incident that tipped public opinion against Chancellor Angela Merkel’s liberal refugee policy happened on New Year’s Eve in the public square of Cologne.

>Britain will probably leave the European Union over it. In truth immigration is one front in that battle, but it is the most salient because of the European refugee crisis and the failure of the protected class to address it realistically and in a way that offers safety to the unprotected.

>>78468460
Not really, multiculturalism on such a large scale is kinda recent in US history. Believe it or not but before WW2 the US was just an average power in the world. As the country became more multicultural, it became more powerful and the became the sole superpower on Earth. Germany, while despite always having a sound economy, has become a large economic power after it's unification and the beginning of multiculturalism. Multiculturalism here in Canada pretty much began with Canada, and here that was the start of a prosperous era (us becoming the largest trading partners in the world with the US), don't get me started on Scandinavian countries, etc.

All in all, this pattern can not be denied by anyone. Go with the flow of these successful countries or end up in poverty, the choice is yours.

Now that Brexit has won, it is time to NAME THE JEWS.

Who has profited by filling England with Muslim shitskins? Who profited from unemployment? Who killed the Empire?

If you don't believe in the idea of general intelligence, yes.

Of course then Trump would be unqualified to be president, seeing as how he's a businessman who deals mostly in real estate.

It's beneficial in the fact that they don't have to bow and scrape to an unelected foreign plutocracy which tells its serf-nations how to price fix. All of these countries existed without the EUSSR before, and they can do it again. It will hurt but they'll survive.

I don't believe in the idea of general expertise.

>Of course then Trump would be unqualified to be president, seeing as how he's a businessman who deals mostly in real estate.

I'm not really a Trump supporter, but it's always a question of the lesser of two evils. He might be more qualified the senile old man and the future convict merely because he'll implement policies that aren't socialism lite and he'll be able to do it outside of a jail cell. If I did support Trump, I would never use the argument, "He's qualified because he's a billionaire."

If by that you mean "Leftist '''''intellectuals''''' think Britain and America's economic policies should benefit Third-world peasants rather than their own citizens", then yes, this is exactly the problem.
>>
>>78478931
Also, I think Hawking's only reasons for staying was the funding for science that the EU gives, which, while actually being (somewhat) in his preview of expertise, shows how myopic it is.
>>
>>78479381
That's a nice speech, but what will actually happen?
And the EU is not a foreign plutocracy. The European Council is made up of the Head of States of each member state, and the European Parliament is made of directly voted officials voted in each state. Together they form the power of the EU.

literally none of those people are intellectuals in any relevant field bro this is some low quality shit

Stephen Hawking is down to communicating by blinking for shit sake

If the people who predict the economy will crash could actually predict the market, they'd be a lot richer than they are. Macro-economics is educated guessing at best and massive extrapolation at worst (which is incredibly unreliable and thus bad).

The UK will be fine.

I'd never understood the Clinton is a convict argument. Not following security procedure is not, say, tax evasion or securities fraud.

>People have no obligation to hire someone for twice the pay because "He's my countrymen".
People also have no obligation to tolerate such business in their country. Democracy works both ways. But people for some reason believe that it should serve elite. Business is privilege not right.

Legally, she IS disqualified. There's enough evidence out there at this point to confirm she knowingly mishandled classified info, and that alone bars her from taking any federal positions with access to classified info.

It just doesn't matter because she's above the law, at least for now.

>Jews are anti-social, destructive, intolerant, mean-spirited, deceitful, et cetera. They wish to destroy, rule and kill, rob whoever gets in their way. To facilitate them getting what they want, they have developed a perverted, unnatural, destructive, evil lifestyle. Even though they live off the non-Jews as parasites, they still hate them and wish to destroy them. Jews hate nature and the natural order, because it's pure and beautiful, and also because it's bigger and stronger than they are, and they feel that they can not fully control it. Nature's beauty and harmony stands in stark contrast to their squalidness and ugliness, and that makes them hate it all the more.
>Jews are destroyers. They are anti-humans. The anti-human Jew hates and wants to destroy all non-Jews. He will also destroy even other Jews who are less destructive and evil than he is, if they get in his way. Apparently, the wickedness of the Jew is genetically based. Jews are destroyers. They are anti-humans. By the act of circumcision, the Jew shows his hatred towards nature and the natural order. By this bloody, cruel, senseless act, he shows his cruelty and sadism, and that he will stop at nothing to obtain his ends. Surely the Jews are also behind the Islamic circumcision, which serves as an ideal cover and distraction from their own wickedness in this regard. Jews are truly anti-human and anti-nature. Jews are intensely selfish, intolerant and anti-social, et cetera. They are full of hate, greed, malice, et cetera. Naturally, other people, i.e. the non-Jews, don't like being bulldozed aside, robbed and murdered by the Jews, and will sooner or later resist. That is where the lies and deceit of the Jews come into place.
>They are subhuman. They are the scum of the Earth. When you talk about Jews, you're scraping the bottom of the barrel of humanity.
