I don't know, I've never even seen one IRL. It's illegal to discharge a firearm in my county so unless you're in a gang you don't use em.

For my state:
Find gun
Buy gun
Fill out paperwork (name/address/etc, questions like "are you a felon", sign/date once or twice, takes less than 5 minutes)

if you do NOT have a permit you will be able to pickup your handgun in 3 days

>How hard is to buy a handgun in your country?

In the USA?

If you are 18 years of age, not a felon, and not a fucking nut-case, then you approach a private party (private citizen, not a licensed business), hand them some money, and walk off with your new gun.

1. No background checks needed.

2. No permits needed.

3. No licenses needed.

4. No registration needed.

5. No magazine capacity limits (in almost all states).

Then, you just load up the gun and start carrying...

1. No background checks needed.

2. No permits needed.

3. No licenses needed.

The only thing about being 18 is that one cannot conceal in most states without a license unless or permit, and even then, usually you have to be 21. However, you can still open carry with a belt holster.
>>
>>78315358
Do you understand that holsters prevent you from squeezing the trigger & you don't draw your weapon with a finger on the trigger. What cocked & locked means is one inside the chamber with the safety on. However with one in the chamber and the hammer not drawn that means that the pull weight for a DA/SA is increased for the first shot.

I for one am glad every time someone shoots themselves there are no such thing as accidental gunshots there are just idiots getting what they have coming. Go get some marshmellows and make your country burning productive.

It's the typical no bullshit approach as long as you pay this and that fee everything is handled within minutes. On some Gun shows they even have a few police officers on the ground just to approve ad-hoc weapon permits, hand over the background check, pay 75 CHF get your permit 5min later.

>I hope we dont get cucked to hard by the EU otherwise I need to consider to come over, and we both know its never a good idea if an austrian moves abroad.
The EU regulations suck hard and I hope they don't approve that anywhere in europe. If you want to move better do it quick as you need the C permit (permanent resident) to buy weapons.

Rifles and shotguns are different, here you need a background check at the police and then to hunt pass a hunting test.

Smoking weed disqualifies you from owning a gun at least 5 years. Any kind of minor shit and they take your guns. If your guns are not specially locked up in these metal lockers and gun powder stored in special blast proof units... Your fucked

>>
>>78318625
don't you have the option of a collector permit? in my cunt, those are for life so no renewals required but I need a purchase permit each time I want to buy ammo (17 EUR)
>>
You need :

-to be over 21 years old
-clean criminal record, never been forced into a mental institute, not on the list of persons banned from owning firearms
-register in a gun club
-fill in a questionnary about gun safety, gun laws and your reasons for being interesting in sport shooting
-get a shooting license and get it stamped by a doctor
-stay at least 6 months in the club
-go through 3 controlled shooting sessions in a year (and wait at least 2 months between two sessions, meaning you can get all three in 4 months)
-ask your club's president for a paper of endorsement (he can refuse)
-buy a safe
-send a copy of all of that shit, as well as a birth certificate (with proof you aren't on adminsistrative control), proof of residency, safe bill, etc and a paper asking for an authorization
-send all of this to your local prefinct
-wait (usually one to three months nowadays, but up until very recently it used to be up to one year or more)
-get your authorization in the mail
-now you have three months to buy a handgun before the authorization is invalid, you can only buy 1000 rounds a year per weapon, only 10 magazines per weapon and the magazines cannot hold more than 20 rounds for handgun (30 for rifles)

To keep it you'll need :
-to renew your gun club fee and license (and stamp from the doctor) every year
-to get your three shooting sessions a year, every year
-you'll have to renew your authorization and do everything all over again every 5 years

The prefinct can decide to refuse to give or renew any authorization for whatever reason, they don't have to justify themselves and there is no recourse.

That's only for white people of course, if you are a brown muslim, you just have to ask your friends for a M57 or CZ99, give the money and you're done.

1. There is not a single state where you do not need a background check to purchase a gun.
2. Some states require permits to purchase guns and ammo
3. Almost every single state requires a license to carry concealed
4. Some states require registration some dont
5. Some states do have not only mag limits but scary feature limits as well.

for some reason you start over at one again I guess getting passed 5 is hard.

1. CCW license will use the same national instant criminal background check as when you purchase a firearm. Some will also require letters from "reputable persons" that can attest to your character. As well as mental heath checks, finger prints.

2. We have been over permits and you list it again under carrying.

3. Almost every single state with like the exception of Arizona, maine, alaska, and utah, require CCW license to carry concealed guns.

unumbered because making a correct list for you:

You must be 21 in USA to purchase a handgun, you can purchase rifles at 18, but either type can be gifted to you at any age. As well as many states do not have open carry and you will be arrested for open carrying a firearm.

Do you even own guns kid?
>>
>>78318869
It's pretty much seek each time for a handgun, as those aren't really tools other than killing humans.

This is simply wrong.

>>78312944
Not hard at all, it just takes quite a while to get there. The easiest way for a private citizen to get a gun is this.
First you need to join a shooting or gun club.
You need to be a member and participate in club activities for at least 6 months before you may apply for the Waffenbesitzkarte, which allows you to own guns. What kind of guns you may own depends on what card you get.
Then you need to complete a test to prove that you are educated about guns and gun law in germany as well as a shooting test. You also have to prove that you own 2 separate lockable safes where you can store the guns and ammunition in your home (alternatively there is usually a gun safe at the shooting club where you can store your gun). You will also need to own 2 lockable and secure containers to carry guns and ammunition if you keep your guns at home. If you pass all these tests and get cleared on your background check you may now own a gun.

It used to be much easier, but ever since ~2010, the laws changes quite a bit making it near impossible to get a firearm of any kind unless you're a cop or in the military.

You can get a hunting license, but you have to go through lengthy training and pass various background checks and interviews that cost quite a bit of money.

Easiest way:
1. Get checked for crime record.
2. Become a member of shooting club (there is one in every city).
3. Hang out with your club, do activities (whatever they require from you).
4. Pass shooting exam and get IPSC sportsmanship license.
5. Visit a doctor for basic medical checkup (work medicine basically).
6. Get checked by psychologist and psychiatrist.
7. Get positive opinion from main doctor (or whatever he is called).
8. Apply to police to get a "right" to poses and carry weapons for sport use (will take 1-2 months). And buy acquisition permits (You need one every time you buy a gun (are cheap tho)).
9. Buy a weapon safe.
10. Go to a shop and buy guns.

This whole procedure can take 6-12 months and will cost about 800-1000 EURO.

You can own any gun up to caliber of 12mm and no full auto fire.
No restrictions on ammo or magazine capacity.
You can carry your gun in public places, unless you were specifically forbidden to.

And yes, you can have glocks. A lot of people have them.

Australian law restricts pistol ownership severely. You can only register for a licence to buy a handgun after spending 6 months at a gun club to prove that you are only using the weapon for competitive sport. You can only own a .22 caliber pistol. No glocks in 9mm or 45 acp. Even if you legally own a pistol it is illegal for you to use the weapon in self-defense or for any other purpose than marksmanship at a government approved gun club. The situation is really pozzed. I guess we have our British pedigree to thank for that.

It's actually 99% about taxes. B permit = taxes gets directly deducted from your salary, C permit = fill out the tax forms. As soon as you earn ok tier money and don't need neet bucks you can go to the local town house after a year and request to get the c permit and they will usually approve it as it's a win-win, more money for the town (they only get a small part from what gets deducted) and you pay less taxes in total.

Yes, you can. HOWEVER it can't be a Swiss Ordonnanz gun, meaning any gun used by the Swiss army such as privatized Stgw 57s, K31s and Stgw 90s.

To be it simple it works like this:

>Have a Mosin Nagant and want to make a Obrez?

No problem.

>Have a K31 that used to be an army rifle and you want a Swiss Obrez?

You have to ask for a special permit to do this.

>Have a PE90 which is the civilian made version of the Stgw 90 and want to cut the barrel down?

Sure go ahead, but you can't do it if it were a Stgw 90.

look, I did the same in my cunt, your law looks like a carbon copy of mine with the exception of collector permit option and total prohibition of automatic firearms

- firearms safety course including fun law review, 1st aid, practical shooting test and a written test (cca 200 EUR): 3 days
- medical examination almost identical to regular employee medical examinations (cca 70 EUR): 1 day (valid for 1 year)
- cheapest safe you can find with separate compartments for firearms and ammo: 75 EUR@Bauhaus store, for example
- certificate of no prior convictions: 7 days (free of charge), mailed to your address
- purchase permit from the municipality (17 EUR): 1 day
- order at the dealer, if the item is in stock: 1 day
- register the piece(s) purchased: a trip to the municipality, has to be done within 8 days

easy-peasy, I didn't address permit renewals because I'm a collector and those are issued for life

for each subsequent purchase, all that is required is getting another purchase permit from the municipality (17 EUR)

Depends on the gun. Some are just for hunting, most of mine are for fun at the range and personal protection. A few of my pistols are for carry.

I guess technically I can say in case our government becomes tyrannical.

Short answer: Hunting and Self Defense in a broad sense of the term.

Be at least 21 years of age, apply for permit and give reason, have it either instantly denied/ approved depending on what county you live in, wait for processing, if approved go to gun store, buy pistol (As long as it doesn't have banned features).
You can thank idiots like Bloomberg, Cuomo, and NYC for dictating how the entire state is run.

Competitive sharpshooting. Won a few competitions in my earlier days when I was a prodigy. Now I'm just above average but like the feeling of a gun's kick and having fun with buds at the range.

I have truly gotten used to the glock reset and ergonomics. I like the Lego brick design and AK like tolerances. It simply works very well for me. I am not gonna be the equivalent of the guy posting his ugly wife and pretending she's the hottest.

Hunters use it to hunt.
Ball trappers use it to shoot clay discs.
Sport shooters use it to put holes in paper and steel targets.
A handful of people given exceptionally the authorization to own a gun for self-defense, use it to defend their shops (pharmacy and jewelry shop owners, namely.

>>78323390

I just want to shoot some goddamn paper.

There is nothing like putting rounds where you want in a quick and controlled fashion with the machine kicking in your hands. The gun doesn't do anything. Its all you, and when you make it work correctly it feels good to know that you were skilled enough to be accurate. Its like any other skill, it just CAN have lethal ability

For us it's pretty much a way of spending free time.
I do not know about other countries, but in Poland many shooting competitions are social events. People come with whole family to spend a nice day in the open. Pretty much all competitions are accompanied with BBQ. Still better than watching idiocy on TV.

I'm in love with machines, to which firearms certainly belong

I like collecting them, shooting them, customizing them, fondling them

they hold value bretty gud, especially rare items and automatic weapons/machineguns

in case there's a SHTF situation, I will not be a victim, nor will any of the members of my local community

Not hard. Go to darknet, find darknet shop, pre-mix bitcoins in mixer, find Glock or other handgun, pay with bitcoins, receive gun by mail.
