The majority of our politicians are not only pro-EU, but also crooked as fuck, and it is them who will be doing the redrafting, and negotiating of new deals with the EU should we quit. There's no way in hell they'll do any of this with 'Leave' interests in mind.
Immigration. Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland all have high ratios of both EU and non-EU immigrants, so I see absolutely no reason (especially considering the previous point above) why the UK would be any different were it to join them outside the EU.
And also, rather importantly, in 2009 the pound plummeted, taking its biggest hit in a very, very long time, if not ever, and since then it never recovered. The consensus amongst financial "experts" in both camps agree that leaving will see the pound go down between 10-20%, but the 'Leave' campaign think, with no good evidence to back it up, that the pound will somehow, magically, "bounce back" after a few months. The pound didn't bounce back in 2009, and there is absolutely nothing significant to suggest it would bounce back this time either.
In summary, there's no point in Brexiting; it will just make us poorer, and not a whole lot else.

I don't want to get into this argument. But this is why the Western world is falling apart, being British, or German, or Italian or whatever is not about what the document in your drawer says. This is a conflict in law also, there is jus soli - the right of the soil and jus sanguine - the right of the blood. One is a citizen by birth, the other is citizen by right. Imagine the scenario where a boat full of refugees lands at the coasts of Sicily. One of the women in the boat is pregnant and gives birth in a hospital in the local village. The kid is Italian according to jus soli, the mother being in Italy for a mere 10 hours is irrelevant. This is why I think that the concept is flawed and should not apply.

i think this raises a good point actually- what people mean when they say 'british'. personally i don't think anglo is a good substitute- especially when you consider the amount of celtic people in britain. i would be much more inclined to use the term 'indigenous british', but then the trouble is that implies anyone with any immigrant ancestry could never be considered as british as someone who wasn't, which ignores the cultural aspect (which is a big part of any national identity)

The EU is nothing more than an organization of "elected" officials who show no concern for the members of the EU who didn't want things to come to this in the first place. Why is it Britain's responsibility to be punished for Greece? Why is it Britain's responsibility to follow these silly laws and restrictions that it would more than likely already set itself?
It isn't that the concept of the EU is bad - it is that the execution has been proven to be bad. Refugees are just the tip of the iceberg. I don't know what goes on in Yuro politics to tell you with absolution I'm correct, but the refugee thing alone isn't what's the problem - it's that the EU doesn't care about Britain's immigration wishes. And that should be a red flag to any democratic society.
