It might happen after a few months. Laws take time to be discussed, written down, passed through the House of Lords etc.
They might for example send home half the Polish plumbers in England. Englishmen then will realize that their own people maybe cost twice as much. International banks, insurances, companies will move to the mainland in order not to become isolated. That will cost jobs.
On the other hand the UK will be free to trade with the world, which it couldn't under the EU. So there will be a few new jobs as well.
